Beat the heat with this cool outfit: C&D picks!

coolin' summers

Your hair is lighter, your skin is darker. Your drinks are cooler, and the sun's hotter. Yep, summer is here- bleaching the skies and sucking the life outta you. But don't let it melt your inner fashionista. All the listlessness has to be combated with vibrancy and freshness and we show you how to do it, and do it with style!

The star of this ensemble is, of course, the cropped silk trousers. The light salmon colour, although bright, stops short of being neon, so you don't have to worry about looking garish in the blinding sunlight. And it's not just about looking good. Silk has natural thermostatic properties, keeping you warm in winters and cool in summers. It also has the same type of amino acids as human skin, and hence it's said that silk can prevent vascular sclerosis and arthritis, while also delaying the appearance of wrinkles!
Also, keeping your outfit breezy is primordial in summer and a sleeveless top is the perfect choice. Add a knot for an instant boho twist. Small things like that perk up your look more than you can guess.
Accessorize your outfit with a statement necklace and funky clutch. Isn't this polka dotted box clutch cute? It lends the right amount of playfulness to the outfit. As for the necklace, it raises the entire look from being too simple, to effortlessly chic.
The shoes featured here are a pair of floral flats, keeping comfort in mind. Florals underline feminity, and are so easy to work with! You can of course, choose to wear heels with this. I'd pick wedges.
Now that we have the basics covered, it's time to pay attention to the details that pull the ensemble together. As you can see, this look is quite soft, so delicate bracelets, bright rings, and a light floral fragrance seem to be in order. So does a top knot (I can't bear wearing my hair down in this heat!) TM/BB cream, with SPF of course, and nude eyes paired with generous coats of mascara. Finish off with a watermelon red lippie, and we're done!

What do you think of this look? Is this something you would wear? Do share your summer style with us!
