Packaging is hassle free, a simple tube with a plastic flip top cap. The cap feels quite sturdy and is leak proof. The lotion itself is of a unique texture, it looks like a slightly runny cream. It's a light milky purple and matches the colour of the tube. A little goes a long way as it spreads quite a lot with very little effort.
Tropical Bergamot Body Lotion is suitable for all skin types and is exceedingly gentle. It just melts into your skin very quickly, leaving a tang of bergamot and citrus fragrance behind. Enriched with shea butter and glycerince, this body lotion fulfils all your moisturizing needs without being greasy. Now this is my most favorite part because I have dry skin, and all the lotions I have used leave my limbs feeling a little oily which is really cumbersome in this humid climate!
Sweet orange essential oil - naturally eliminates toxins and stimulates the lymphatic system
Natural glycerine - a natural humectant which attracts moisture to the skin, helping it to remain hydrated and soft
Aloe vera - naturally calms and moisturises the skin
Shea butter - works naturally to prevent moisture loss from the skin
Cocoa butter - a great natural moisturiser, to soften and smooth the skin
The company claims that the bergamot and sweet orange essential oils eliminate toxins from the skin, but I cannot attest to that. The fragrance definitely does help me to de-stress. About the scent, it's more of an acquired liking. At first, I didn't like it much as it quite different from the usual body lotion smells I've come across. But now I've realized it puts me in a happy mood, and reminds me of Earl Grey tea, or an exotic beach! Clear stress-buster! :)
A few days back I was suffering from skin infection and had terrible breakouts all over my legs. This was the only lotion I had the confidence of using as it has no harsh chemicals, prevents irritation, and is very soothing.
Lastly, I'd like to list another reason why Organic Surge has stolen my heart. It's against animal testing, and is absolutely suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
