The Caribbean Collection Coconut & Lime : Body Lotion and Scrub

The Caribbean Collection , The Caribbean Collection Coconut & Lime review, The Caribbean Collection Coconut & Lime

Quite a few months back while I was randomly walking around in the Westside store, I happened to come across these pretty looking bath products range called "The Caribbean Collection". I had not heard of them before and I went to check them out...you would get curious too. And I quite liked the whole collection. The combinations were amazing! Pink Grapefruit & Mandarin, Mango & Passion fruit, Papaya & Strawberry and Coconut & Lime. Don't they just sound yummy?!
There were body lotions, body butters, sugar scrubs, liquid soaps and the traditional soaps of each. I did not pick them up that day but I was so so so tempted. And I resisted the temptation for quite some months (telling myself I did not quite need it essentially...I am giving myself credit here!) but this one day they had a 50% off (I happened to be there... lucky me) and I said "I AM SO GETTING YOU TODAY!"

The Body Lotion :
A tube packaging with a flip top cap, leak proof and travel friendly. The consistency is quite light (you can make that out in the photos) since it is water based. It will work well for normal to oily skin and in humid weather. I quite like the consistency and texture of this one. It gets absorbed quickly and leaves my skin hydrated without having a sticky layer feeling behind. Extremely dry skinned women would not find this very moisturising, and they should get the body butter instead, which I think I will too for the winters.

The Exfoliating Scrub :
Comes in a sturdy tub with a screw on lid. It is leak proof and travel friendly. The tub packaging is not very hygienic yes, but I cannot think of any other way one can package this. It is a sugar scrub, the granules are perfectly sized and gradually melt away. They do not feel coarse at all, exfoliate really efficiently (to be used on wet skin) and it is very moisturising. One does not need use a lotion after this!! It helped me get rid of the ingrown hair on my legs nicely plus it gives such a nice pampered feeling to your bath. You just need to be a bit careful and not dip very wet fingers in it. I LOVE this one!

And doesn't the packaging look really great?!! It is by Todd Anderson and you can check out more of the collection photos here. :)
Coming to the smell : Both have the same fragrance.....slightly coconuty and lots of the citrus zing of lime! It smells ah-may-zing! And you can totally picture tropical islands with those pristine white sandy beaches, lazying on a hammock and sipping on tender coconuts ..sigh! So incredibly fresh and relaxing!!
Infact all the variants smell so marvelous, I got confused which one to get...you need to go sniff them yourself! I think they can totally compete with The Body Shop's range at a much lower price. The scrub will last me really long but I will definitely repurchase it in a different variant once it gets over :)

Price: Lotion 249/- for 200ml (6.8 fl oz)
           Scrub 549/- for 500ml (17 fl oz)
