Colorbar Lip Pot in Warm Me Up : Review

Written by: Swati on:

Hello all!
Sharing a short quick review and swatches of the Colorbar Lip Pot Warm Me Up today (I quite like the name...maybe since I am usually always feeling cold). Anyway, this was one of our gifts to mom on her anniversary last year, along with a small Fabindia skincare hamper. She was always looking out for a neutral everyday wear lip colour and when we saw this we had to pick it for her. (It is another story that we shamelessly borrow it most of the time from her since it is a great colour...that is one of the advantages of gifting stuff to moms, they let you borrow :D)

Colorbar has some really great shades and don't the pots look so cute! I believe they have come out with more new colours and a different packaging now, which includes a mini lipbrush (finally they come with a brush!).

These are super creamy lip colours and provide a semi- glossy lush finish to the lips. It came in a silver box (which we threw long back, sorry). The pot itself is transparent with a metallic silver screw on cap. And they have a seal inside that needs to be peeled off before use.
Texture is very creamy and buttery (do not judge by how my pot looks since it is kept in the fridge all the time), decently pigmented, quite hydrating and give a smooth semi glossy finish which settles over time to a semi matte one. It has a sweet caramel like fragrance, nothing too bothersome since it fades away quickly. It does not bleed despite being so creamy :)

Warm Me Up is a pinkish mauve nude colour. It looks gorgeous on the lips. It isn't a very unique shade but it is a great one that goes with almost everything and gives a very pretty clean look. If I am going for a smokey eye look and need a nude pink on my lips, I reach for this one. Takes 2 swipes to go completely opaque and lasts for around 3- 4 hours and leaves a mild stain behind. You get 6g of product which will last a long time!

The only downside is the pot packaging which makes it difficult to use while travelling. Carrying a brush or dipping fingers in the pot is quite a hassle.
But the newer packs come with a mini brush now, so I might get a few more shades. :)

Price: 495 INR for 6g
