Nivea Fruity Shine Strawberry : Review

Written by: Swati on:

If you have been following C&D for a while, you will probably know how much I love the Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm (available online here). So after going through tubes of the Pink Guava one (which is such a lovely lovely pink!) I tried the Strawberry variant.

The packaging is nice. A twist up tube, a red cap with a slanted top . Hygienic and easy to carry around.I like the cute bright tube! It has a yummy fruity smell and it tastes sweet (not that you are allowed to eat it :P) These Nivea lip balms also have spf 10... yaay!

It is not the most hydrating lip balm out there, I would say it is moderately hydrating. If you have normal lips (not very dry or chapped) these will keep them good the whole day. It feels very nice and light on the lips, almost as if you aren't wearing anything. No waxy layer feeling. The staying power is average (no it will not last you the whole day). You have to reapply say 3-4 times and I do not really mind that :D
Since these are tinted, you cannot use them under lipsticks, because they will alter the color, plus the glossiness might make your lipstick slide/bleed. (A bit heavy non glossy balms are always preferable these times).

Strawberry gives your lips a very nice and light red tint (with some orange tones). What I love about these are the beautiful soft tint and the glossy effect they give.
The colour is not as bold as lipsticks, it is not as shiny as lipglosses. Making these lip balms so amazing!
On lazy days, which is almost everyday for me, just apply some BB cream/tinted moisturizer, kajal and slather this on your lips. Done!
These Fruity Shines are easily available everywhere and you can get hold of them easily. I always have one with myself (in almost every bag and in my pocket).

So yes, I am a big fan of these lip balms! They are one of the best tinted lip balms available (I have not tried the tinted Baby Lips..I normally stick to the clear ones with them). They give you beautiful natural tints and lovely glossiness. One of these in my pocket and I am good to go :)

Will I repurchase this?
Well, you know I will repurchase Pink Guava for as long as they make it. Starwberry will be used on and off by me I guess. But the bottom line is, I will always of atleast one of these with me :D :)

Price: 129 INR for 4.8g (available here)
