It is finally time to slip into those flip flops and open sandals and if you have neglected your feet lately, we have just the thing for you! Make your feet summer ready the easy way!
**Warning, for those of you who get squeamish by looking at feet, there are pics in here of my heel. I did warn you!**
I heard about this soak a few places and as ridiculous as it sounds, I was curious to see if it actually works! And the bonus of being a dentist is that one has Listerine lying around all the time, so yeah I had to try this :P
You need just 5 things:
- Listerine mouthwash
- Warm water
- Foot file/Pumice stone
Pour in 1 cup listerine, 1cup vinegar in 2 cups of warm water. Soak your feet for 10 minutes (15 if you have a lot of patience). Use your foot file very gently in the affected areas (you really need not fight a war with it.. no hard scrubbing). Wash with clean water and pat your feet dry. Simple, isn't it?!
And here is how it worked for me :
It really does leave your feet so soft and gets rid of all dried hard/flaky skin. Plus it leaves your feet all cool and tingly :D
Now I do not know how great it would be for severely cracked heels but you could definitely try it. Maybe it would need a few sessions to work properly. Do try it, it is very simple and it left me surprised by how effective it was! You can follow up by a foot cream and some comfy cotton socks :)
