You know what a great difference mascara makes to your face. We can say, without a doubt, that we never fail to wear mascara when going out someplace nice :) It just gives you such a boost instantly!
So today we have a new one for you... Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara! Read on to find more about this one :)
You probably already know that we absolutely love The Falsies (original) one! It is by far one of the best we have tired. Actually when you think about it, Maybelline makes some really fantanstic mascaras, don't they?
The Big Eyes has the same color packaging as the falsies, with 2 brushes in the tube at either ends. The purple end is meant for the upper lashes which has the fuller and bigger brush. The black end is the one with the lower lash brush which is fairly straight and smaller. I must say that this dual brush thing is a great concept. There have been many times I have wished for a smaller brush for my lower lashes.
As far as the brushes go, I find that the upper lash brush isn't as good as the Falsies. I dont know why, but I always get a better, more dramatic result with the original Falsies brush design. This one does it's job well enough though, just not as well as the Falsies for me.
Coming to the lower lash brush, this one was an absolute delight to use. It is small enough to reach those tiny lower lashes easily. It coats them well and keeps them sepratated too. I also find this brush particularly helpful is reaching the upper lashes right at the inner corner. You know what I am taking about right?
The mascara itself is jet black, the formula is neither too wet nor too dry. The formula of the lower lash one was a bit drier than the other one (I do not know if it is actually supposed to be that way or was it just with my tube). The mascara dries quickly, which is great, since it prevents a mess. It does not cause much clumping. If you see the photos below, you will notice that it gives my lashes (super straight lashes :/) quite a bit of volume and length.
I have worn this from 9 a.m. to around 6 p.m. and it has not smudged or flaked. You will need a good oil based remover to get rid of this one completely. Since this is the waterproof variant, it holds a curl really well. (For best results, curl your lashes before applying mascara).
On the downside, I find that this one clumps if layered on too much.
Price : 599 INR for 8.7ml
Overall, I think this mascara is a nice one. The upper lash brush did not work that great for me (I like the more dramatic look Falsies gives) but if you want a mascara for your lower lashes or you want a mascara with a smaller brush then you should definietly check this one out! I might prefer the Falsies over this one overall but I really liked the small brush of Big Eyes. Maybe I need to keep 2 mascaras form now on :D
Have you tried Maybelline Big Eyes? What do you think of it?
