The Body Shop Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo : Review

I live/work in an environment which is full of dust, grime and loads of pollution. Combine that with Bangalore's mostly dry weather and then rains every other day....the net result is an itchy flaky scalp, super prone to dandruff!
I have tried quite a few anti-dandruff shampoos in the past and have never liked them. They are way too harsh and never seem to give good results. So whenever I suffer from a problematic scalp, I resort to homemade hair packs for relief.
But, for the past few weeks I have been using The Body Shop's Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Boy! Oh boy! Is this good! I wish I had found this one earlier.
The shampoo itself is a colorless gel and quite runny compared to other regular shampoos. This isn't a problem though.

Coming to the effectiveness, this is the by far the mildest anti-dandruff shampoo I have ever used.
The ginger fragrance is quite refereshing and a nice change from floral/fruity scents. I really like it a lot...quite like candied ginger! But definitely sniff it once before buying. The frangrance doesn't stay for a long time.
It cleanses the scalp thoroughly and gives you that squeaky clean feel. It effectively removes all traces of oil. It removes dry flakes and soothes the itchiness remarkably. Doesn't weigh down the hair. A small quantity is needed and it lathers well.
On the down side, it dries out the hair a bit, so using a hair serum/conditioner/hair oil is a must. It also contains SLS and parabens (but I am not bothered about that).

Would I repurchase this?
Yes. It has helped me a lot. I agree this comes with a high price tag, but the quantity is a lot and not much is needed for a wash. Also, now that it has controlled my problems a lot, I alternate between this and a regular shampoo so one bottle will last a really long time. If you have very dry hair, you might want to stay away from this one or religiously conditon it, but apart from that, this shampoo is super effective!
