I have a weird relationship with glosses. When I started with some makeup, years ago, I loved them. So much. Then over the past couple of years I gravitated towards lipsticks more (for the simple reason that they last much longer). So much so, that the glosses in my stash were neglected for a very long time. And now, over the past 2 months, my love for glosses is back. I think this can be partly blamed on the weather. Summers are perfect for getting those glosses out!
Anyway, so L'Oreal launched the Infallible Mega Glosses & like a true makeup junkie I gave in to temptation. I know that the shade "I Got the Power" is probably the most raved one in this range, but somehow I was particularly drawn to "Fight For It". Take a look!
This years Cannes collection also includes eyeliners (which will be reviewed shortly). The Infallible Mega Glosses are available in Cream and Dazzle finishes. While I am not too fond of the Dazzle finishes, the cream ones are just lovely, in my opinion.
The sturdy transparent tube, with the shade name & number on the cap is super convenient to spot the color easily. The applicator deserves a special mention. It is like a doe foot one, but with a bend in the middle (which helps spread the gloss evenly and also helps in contouring the lips). Now, I don't know about the contouring part, but the applicator does apply and spread the gloss beautifully.
The gloss has a creamy smooth texture. It goes on semi sheer, is non-sticky and gives a very comfortable plump look when applied. The hydration provided by this one is amazing. It sorts out any dryness and gives a very soft plump feel. The lips feel nourished even after the gloss has worn off. A lipgloss providing so much hyrdration is just wow!
The color stays for around 3 hours with mild-moderate snacking.
109, Fight For It is a peachy pink color, perfect for everyday wear, especially in the summer-monsoon months, when you want a fresh look. It doesn't provide an opaque finish, so pigmented lips will need to wear a nude liner underneath. It will go well with light-medium skin tones.
The LOTDs below have been taken in natural daylight, and on a cloudy day, you can see a slight variation on how it looks :
Price : 850 INR for 8ml
If you are fond of/on the look out for creamy non-sticky glosses, I would definitely recommend you to check the Infallible Mega Gloss range out. The price is surely on the higher side, but the quality is great and the quantity is good too. The texture and hydration of these glosses is amazing.
Fight For It is a pretty peachy pink and gives you a fresh summery look. I Got the Power is another is a muted mauvey nude which is recommended as well from this collection.
