If you dream about baking the perfect red velvet cake someday...say yes!
If you end up wishing that you could have one everyday...okay well, that's a bit too much, isn't it? :P
Anyway, you're on board now, and I have here the NYX Butter Gloss in Red Velvet to tempt you further. Can't go wrong with a shade named that delicious. It's a classic and you know it!
In terms of packaging these are pretty standard, colored plastic body with a screw on cap. A doe foot applicator at the end of the medium-length wand picks up sufficient product to apply a light layer. The tube being small, can be easily carried in your handbag to reapply through the day.
The Butter Glosses come in a variety of shades - pinks, neutrals, reds, peaches, oranges..it's all there to suit each mood and every occasion!
Like I mentioned earlier, the applicator picks up enough amount of the gloss for one sheer application. It's good in a way, as I don't have to wipe off the excess and dirty the rime of my tube.
The texture of these glosses is slightly thick, but not tacky, just enough to help the gloss stay put for around two hours, once applied.
Red Velvet is a brightly pigmented cherry red color. When applied sheer, it leans more towards the pinker side. I really like this shade as it makes my teeth appear whiter The gloss actually looks like a gel once applied on the lips and gives them a plump juicy look. It is hydrating enough and I never wear lip balm beneath it.
