Maybelline V-FACE Blush Contour : Review & Swatches
Written by: Swati on:
Aren't you happy that contouring products are finally coming to the Indian market? So when Maybelline launched their V-FACE collection at the Amazon Fashion Week this year, I couldn't wait to try it out! Let me talk about the Blush Contour first since I have used it more :)
Available in 3 shades - Pink, Peach and Brown, these blushes come in a slim plastic packaging. I love the V design on the top. I would have liked if it had a mirror though. The brush isn't that great either, but it would do for touch-ups. I have Peach variant with me.
The pan is made of 3 colors - The main color in the center, a lighter color and the contour shade on the sides.
The powder has a smooth texture and is decently pigmented. It blends well and the color is buildable (so you won't end up like a clown with the first application itself). Peach is a lovely variant. The color would suit most skintones, and can be worn everyday for a soft flush of color. The contour shade is a soft brown which gives a very natural contoured look (nothing too harsh). All the three shades are matte. Unfortunately, the contour shade will not show up well on deeper skintones.
I like using the 2 peachy colors together on the apples of my cheeks and the contour shade on the hollows below and even on the sides of my nose.
You can see the swatches of the 3 colors below (under different lighting):
Price : 550 INR for 4g
I am quite liking this one overall and I reach for it almost everyday. Go for it if you are looking for an affordable mild contouring powder and an everyday blush color.
P.S. Maybelline has also created a special tool for you that makes contouring super easy! Go ahead and check it out. Who said contouring was just for special occasions!
What do you think of the new V-FACE collection? Have you tried it yet?
xoxo,
Swati
