While we usually try and restrict ourselves to products you can get a hold of easily, every once in a while, there comes a beauty that sweeps us off our feet and we just have to share these with you all.Any beauty lover (read addict) will know the sheer joy of adding some high end makeup and beauty products in their collection. Agreed?
We have been building our stash slowly and it's time to start sharing a few gems in it.
Up today is Burberry Sheer Eye-shadow, Pale Barley and Almond. And My! Oh My! These are just fabulous!
To begin with, these need not be called Sheer at all. These shadows are beautifully pigmented, buttery and blend in smoothly and easily with no fallout whatsoever! They also last astonishingly long without creasing. I believe they can be applied wet (which I am yet to try because of their lovely pigmentation when dry).
Pale Barley, is probably one of the most raved about shades from their collection, and with good reason. It is a soft cool toned taupey-beige-gold color. It might look a bit blah in the pan and the swatches do no justice to the actual color, unfortunately. But do not underestimate this one.
It's not too shimmery, not too matte and makes for a perfect all over the lid kind of color. Pale Barley, mascara and some liner/kohl...and you can be all set!
If you had to pick only one color from Burberry, I'd recommend this without hesitation.
Almond is a soft medium brown with a bit of warm undertones ( just a hint, not too much). It is a matte one, and makes for a great everyday color. You can use it all over or just to define and add a subtle depth to your crease.
Here are the swatches, under natural light :
Obviously these come with a price tag, and I would suggest getting them if you have the money to splurge. They are not an absolute necessity and you will be able to find similar colors which are more affordable. The pans have 2.5g of product, and will last you a long time.
If you are looking into high end makeup and want to add some stellar eye products to your collection, the Burberry Sheer shadows are definitely worth looking into. The colors are extremely wearable and using them surely feels luxurious.
