Banjara’s Skin Positive Beauty Cream and Body Lotion : First Impressions
Written by: Swati on:
Hello everyone! So we received a few products from Banjaras a while back, and I have been trying them out for the past few days.
"Banjara’s was launched in 1993 with line of products that are predominantly herbal powders. The aim was to provide quality herbal powders for beauty care in a largely unorganised category.Today Banjara’s has grown from having 6 products at its inception to about 60 products across 12 product categories. Banjara’s is now a well-known brand and its products are available across all the south Indian markets as well as several e-retailers and beauty parlors."
Read on to know my first impressions :)
So off late I had been sticking to just calamine as a daily moisturizer, but with the colder season now, a little extra hydration was definitely needed.
The Banjaras Skin +ve Beauty Cream comes in a convenient tube packaging with a nozzle. The cream itself is a pinkish toned one, spreads easily, and gets absorbed well into the skin. It doesn't feel greasy or too heavy and hydrates well. Although, if you have super dry skin you might want to add something a bit more rich.
"With Pomegranate extracts, SPF 15 , Olive and Wheat germ oil, it will keep skin hydrated, build skin elasticity, repair skin damage and protect skin from both UVA and UVB sun rays keeping it young looking – whatever the skin colour."
Key Ingredients: Olive oil, Glycerine, Yashad Bhasma, Pomegranate fruit extract, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Wheat Germ oil, Provitamin B5. List of complete ingredients is not mentioned.
SPF 15 and PA++ is an added bonus. This one might be a bit rich for my oily combination skin during summer, but it wrks fine for these colder dry days. Overall, a decent very affordable option for a day cream.
P.S. I also like the anti-fairness approach to their advertisement.
Price : 100 INR for 40g
Along with the beauty cream, I also received the Skin +ve Body Lotion.
Key Ingredients: Sunflower oil, Kokum Butter, Shea Butter, Honey, Pomegranate fruit extract, Castor oil, Yashad Bhasma
The bottle is a pretty standard flip top one. The lotion has a light pink tone as well and a medium consistency. It smells like sweet cocoa butter (I am not personally fond of very sweet smelling fragrances, but I know a lot of people who love it). It spreads and absorbs well, and since I have very dry skin on my hands and legs, it doesn't feel too greasy for me. This one too is priced very well, and will make for a good affordable body lotion, if you are on the lookout for one.
Price : 140 INR for 200 ml
