Aroma Magic Aloe Vera Sunscreen Gel SPF 20 : Review

Hello, hello! Summer's here! And with the heat comes skin damage, photo-ageing and all the things we whole-heartedly want to avoid.
I am a sunscreen chameleon. I keep a few different formulations and switch between them according to the needs of my skin and the demands of the weather. One of them is this gel by Aroma Magic, a brand I absolutely love. If you're looking for a sunscreen to combat high humidity, this is it! Available here.
Ever since I had an allergic reaction to one of the Lotus ones, I swore to stop using chemical sunscreens. Thanks to all the Pharmacology classes, the knowledge of sunscreen vs sunblocks, and which to prefer came to my rescue and I started a search for physical barriers. That's when I stumbled upon the Aroma Magic all natural mineral line and I haven't looked back since then!
Packaging is very cute and convenient, I love the squeeze-y tube with quirky prints which remind me of beaches! The flip top cap is quite sturdy and has withstood travelling a number of times.
I can say with confidence that none of the claims made by this sunscreen (or sunblock as it should correctly be called, being a physical barrier) is gimmicky.
After switching to this sunscreen my skin has thanked me in many ways. Once applied it feels so light that I am never tempted to skip sun protection however humid the weather is. It works quite well underneath bb creams too, or if your skin is oily, powder. Also, its scent is an added bonus! The aromatherapy blend of peppermint, chamomile, and calendula give the sunscreen an uplifting fresh-floral fragrance that's easy to fall in love with :)
Overall, the Aroma Magic Aloe Vera sunscreen gel has become a staple in my stash. I have even bought the smaller size to carry with myself while travelling!
At this point I must emphasize that this product does not prevent tanning. With the amount of sun we are blessed with, no product will prevent tanning, and only a few natural ingredients succeed in reversing it. This sunscreen, however, provides efficient protection against sunburn and all the other nasty things that result because your skin gets damaged beyond repair.

The light green tinged gel is non sticky, absorbs quickly and provides a slight cooling sensation on application. I always make sure to use the recommended amount as the SPF is only 20 and I do not want to ignorantly reduce that protection. One thing I had found a bit cumbersome is that if you try to massage this gel into your skin vigorously, it dries and balls up in places. Now I just spread it evenly and start dressing while it sinks into my skin. No rubbing anymore!
