Essence I Love Nude Eyeshadow, Coffee Bean : Review

Even though brown eyes are considered to be quite versatile, I always end up in a dilemma regarding what eyeshadows to put on my lids. With Makeup Revolution's Iconic 1 and Iconic 3, and Iconic Pro 1 (the newest hero in my collection), I consider myself the queen of neutrals.
Even then I wasn't satisfied. While on the hunt for something to quench my thirst I stumbled upon this gem, and the fact that it was so budget-friendly led me to buy it in 2 minutes flat!
Meet Coffee Bean, the only eyeshadow I'm convinced I'll hit pan on!
Essence is a very affordable drugstore brand abroad and somehow even after hitting our shores, the prices remain pocket-friendly! If you haven't already checked it out, I highly suggest you hop over to Nykaa once you finish reading this post.
The brand had launched an I ❤ Nude range, comprising eyeshadows and lipsticks and nail polishes.
As you can see, the eyeshadow is packed in a plastic pan with a clear lid. The product is domed, typical of baked powders. The lid feels a little flimsy to be honest, but at this price I'm inclined to overlook that.
In terms of texture, the powder felt scratchy initially, but as the top layer wore off, it became smooth to touch. It blends easily on the eyelids with both my Faces and Real Techniques brushes with minimal fallout. Once applied, it does not crease, but does fade away after 5-6 hours of wear. Placing it over kajal extends its wear time a lot.
Coming to the shade, Coffee Bean is a beautiful lustrous brown. The finish is satin but appears a little metallic too at some angles. I love wearing it as an all over lid colour, as a single-shadow smokey eye, to set and smudge my kajal. I'm using it almost on a daily basis ever since I bought it! The bronze-y tones seem to enhance my brown eyes too!
I've been told that my eyes look "mesmerizing" when I've got this eyeshadow on, haha! No really...!
