Also did I mention that one fine day a few months ago when I randomly walked into The Body Shop store and found out that there was a sale going on (yes yes I used to be generally oblivious to these things and always missed them.. but that day was my day :P). Now of course I couldn't just let go of this bottle when it was there saying "pick me up Swati. I am on sale"!
Flowers, delicate and pure, never fail to awaken in us a sense of calm and joy. It's breathtaking then, to behold a thing of such wonder, to feel its tender petals that Nature shapes with utmost care.
There is something about them which draws me back to childish ways. Like burrowing my nose into their hearts, or trying to gently coax the nectar out. It's those fleeting returns to habits I've long since grown out of, that reminds me never to lose that childish innocence which made the world a beautiful place to live in.
And above all, flowers are my anchor to reality- that all good things must come to an end but it's possible to hold on to the memories of happier times. For even when faded and withered flowers remain beautiful, and to the pantheistic soul, Nature's way of smiling.

Below are a few pictures from a week ago when the Heliconias were in full splendour. Also getting featured here is a carnation from the bouquet I got for my birthday, and also these white blooms. I don't know what they are called, but they flower every year during monsoon. They've got the most fragile petals and I cannot even begin to describe how beautiful they look when it showers.
While the Indian beauty blogosphere was oohing and ahhing over all the BB creams that finally hit our shores, indigenous Lakmé dished out a complete surprise in the form of their CC cream. And now that we've tested this Instant Skin Stylist for quite a while, we thought it was high time for a detailed review!
We all have some things we just cannot do without. Our "holy grail". And no matter how many times we use them or how many bottles of those things we finish, we know that we will keep repurchasing it forever, or as long as its available. Sounds like soulmates right? :D
That's how I felt about the Fab India Rose Facial Water, the first time I used it. (I am on my 2nd bottle now).

Sometimes when you see a recipe on the television, you know you just have to try it out as soon as you can! This is what happened here to me, and a lazy afternoon saw myself attempting to bake some cookies. No, not the classic Smriti's chocolate ones (though I've got to learn that one from her someday..she's the pro afterall). This time the recipe had oatmeal and I thought "oooh healthy munching" (ofcourse my mind chose to overlook the butter and flour), and it has nuts as a bonus, so who was to stop me!
I've been in love with Maybelline's Color Tattoos for quite a while now. Many of you may remember this haul post where my sister had picked up 3 shades for me. Color tattoo eyeshadows had taken everyone by storm back then, and not without reason! These cream-gel eyeshadow are intensely pigmented and last an amazing number of hours.
Today C & D is back with another review of a fantastic product, but this time it's for your man! That's right! A month back when I was looking to order some goodies for my Papa I saw the dearth of reviews on men's products on the internet, and that got me thinking. It's hardly fair to have unimaginable number of blogs for women, and hardly any for the Y chromosome carriers. (If you do know of any such sites, please let us know!) So here I am reviewing Nivea Shower Gel for men, in the variant ENERGY.
Now that the monsoons have made themselves quite comfortable in our tropical country, and are happily pitter-pattering against your roof shingles, how about we treat you to a bite into hot and crispy cheesy goodness? Sounds good? Of course it does! Now heat your oil already, because these cheese bombs are bundles of yummy-ness shaped by our very own Mom!
If there is one drink I absolutely love, it is Mint Mojito. Ah! The refreshing carbonation is the perfect pick-me-up in this tropical heat. Watching the green mint leaves immersed amongst sparkling bubbles holds a fascinating charm for me, especially when silhouetted against the sun. It's no wonder that my obsession with minty freshness goes beyond this drink. I'm a total sucker for mint in all forms. And a result of this was my purchase of Absinto.
Its been quite sometime I have read a book now. Hopefully something will catch my attention soon.
Today, let me tell you all briefly about the last book I read.
One Day, by David Nicholls.
" You can live your whole life not realizing that what you're looking for is right in front of you."
I blame that line for making me pick up the book. Can a girl say no to a story with some romance in it? I think not.
