Here we are with another Color Show shade to share with you all! Regular readers are well acquainted with our love and obsession with the Color Show range, and newcomers are welcome to go through our previous reviews :)

I always wanted a gray-green to add to my collection. The colour seemed quite unique as far as nail polishes go, and I used to see lovely swatches of such shades online! Imagine my happiness when Maybelline released such shades, and at the best prices too!

It's the season of lip balms, isn't it? This dry winter air just sucks the life right out of your pucker! Being a dry skinned girl myself, I bring out every kind of arsenal to combat flakiness and dryness in the cold months. Lips are one part that I cannot allow to be chapped and dull, and Nivea has been a constant help in preventing my nightmare from coming true.

We, at C & D, are ardent fans of Nivea lip balms (you can buy them online here)! It's true! See we've got the following covered, and still have a couple more to review :D

  • Fruity Shine Pink Guava
  • Fruity Shine Strawberry

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing one of my most loved and "cannot-do-without-it" product, the famous Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream. Oh Burt's Bees...where had you been all my life?! For years I have had problems with my cuticles and hangnails too. And this little tin has been my saviour, especially with the chilly weather and all the frequent hand washing now.

Once again, thank you for all the love and support you give us throughout. You guys are the best!
It is the holiday season but we will definitely try and post as much as we can. Until then, relax, be merry and enjoy spending time with family and friends, eating good food, listening to music and loads of laughing. Oh and stay warm!

I normally stay far far away from tomatoes! The only way I like them is in soup or ketchup or sauces. But this baby here, Tomato Tango is an absolute delight :)

You hopped onto C & D expecting a new beauty review, and here I am dishing out a sunscreen review smack in the middle of winter. Why, you ask yourself. It could have been a post on the True Match foundation, instead! You hardly get to see the sun most days, and when you do it's behind a screen of heavy fog, so you really don't need to slather on SPF right?

WRONG!

Basic rule #1 : Never, ever, skip your SPF. Not if you have any attachment to your skin!

But basically, this product just didn't work for me in summers, and I was waiting for the perfect moment to share it with you all :P

All thorough out my school life, we had this Saturday ritual at home...Mom used to oil our hair and give us a mini head massage! Back in school people used to wonder what kept my hair so healthy and no one believed that this could have been the only reason :D

Now I have been in a hostel, staying away from home for about 6 years now and boy! I miss the Saturday hair oiling sessions!! Ever since college started, I have been skipping the oil a lot (laziness, tiredness or work to get done comes in the way mostly) and I have seen my hair take a drastic downward toll. Plus heat application every now and then doesn't exactly improve the situation.

When I was sent the Kama Ayurveda Brindadi Intensive Hair Treatment to review, I was very excited as this made some great claims.  I have been using this for the past few month now (once a week) I am finally ready to share my views. Read on!

I always loved products by Kama Ayurveda...but that love is increasing more and more with each passing day. The Mridul cleanser is something I cannot do without, as you may have read earlier. Nalpamaradi Thailam is something I have been liking lately too. And to increase my love is the Kumkumadi Brightening Ayurvedic Scrub!

Maybelline Baby Lips have become so famous now that I am sure that 95% of girls would be having them and loving them too.
I have been a big fan of Baby Lips as well, having gone through several of them already. And I cannot believe that I never put it up here. I might be the last person reviewing these :D
So here is the first one of the many...Rose Addict.

So, for a past few months now, I have ditched creams and have become a fan of oils. Yes, you read right! You may wonder but HOW?! Oils on an already oily skin?
Let me assure you that I haven't lost it... yet :P ;) Most of the oils I have been using are dry oils and I have been letting them work their magic.

Kama Ayurveda Nalpamaradi Thailam review, Kama Ayurveda India

Now, Kama Ayurveda sent some goodies and the timing couldn't have been better! My skin was turning quite dry from the chilly weather and I was on the look out for something more moisturising than the dry oils. Enter Nalpamaradi Tailam! I have been using this for a month now and it is time I tell you about it. Read on :)

When it comes to face packs, I generally prefer using homemade ones (I am a firm believer in kitchen beauty). But it isn't always possible to use a freshly made pack, which is why I do keep a couple ready to use ones. Over the years I have tried quite a few and up today is the Aroma Magic Activated Bamboo Charcoal 6 in 1 pack.

Aromatherapy is one field I like to occasionally dabble in. Its benefits are many and varied, soothing and healing. One of the truly remarkable things about essential oils is their ability to enhance mood and lift depression, as well as benefit a person physically.

I had purchased a bottle of lavender oil many years ago, and it became such a family favorite that having another one around was simply a must! So I thought I should share this wonder with all of you, may it calm you on the weariest of days :)

Aroma Magic Lavender Essential Oil Review, Lavender Essential Oil Review

Lavender originates from France, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, England and Tasmania. Its flowering tops are the source of the essential oil. Essential oils are the aromatic substances extracted from the part of the plant that gives it its individual characteristics of scent, colour, and healing components. I like to think of it as the soul or the 'life-force' of the plant.

This particular oil is beneficial in burns, cuts and wounds, skin infections, skin care, acne, nausea, stress, headaches, arthritis, high blood pressure, muscular aches and pains, respiratory problems and insomnia to name a few.
It is highly anti-septic (as are all essential oils), anti-viral, anti-rheumatic, anti-spasmodic, anti-depressant, analgesic and sedative.

Coming to how I use it- as a cold compress, in diffusers, and light application on my forehead to aid sleep and get rid of stress headaches. It's a marvelous product, I cannot praise it enough! Few whiffs of this and I'm off to my happy place, relaxing in peace ^_^ Bliss..

Price : 180INR for 15ml

Are you a fan of aroma oils? Which ones do you prefer?

xoxo,
Smriti

Hello hello! :D

There are days (months even) when Mommy dearest does not step into the parlour for skin indulgence. On the bright side is the fact that she gets to use a variety of home-made face treatments, but on the down side is that her face rarely even gets a massage.

So that's why this baby was bought, after screening multiple massage creams. That tiny 'visible results in just 7 days' claim intrigued us all, and considering that she was already using the Micro-emulsion from this range, we decided to give it a go!

Did it live up to its claim? Well, you'll have to read on to find out :)

This post has been due since I don't know how long!! Swati has been constantly pestering me to feature this beauty on the blog, but somehow it always got dumped into the back seat. Sorry about that :P

Now, if I had to describe which scents I lust after, lavender would definitely be at the top of the list. It's the most beautiful fragrance ever! Clean, floral, relaxing... everything that I could wish for in a single whiff. Love love love <3 data-blogger-escaped-p="">
On one of my trips to darling sis' city, we hopped into a M&S outlet and I literally went bonkers seeing this collection there! Rose and Lavender and what not! Such a delight I have not encountered since then.

My reasons for adoring this body cream are numerous. Read on to find out why :)

So, till a couple of years back I was not into blushes at all..I always felt that they made me look too made up and weird. Fast forward to today, and if I am going out (except to the hospital everyday) I have to have to apply a blush.
My blushes aren't very bright, they mostly lean towards a neutral side...soft pinks, earthy tones is what I like most.

I picked the Colorbar Cosmic Rose 2 years back (right before my graduation). It was my first blush and a few days back I finally hit pan! (I never thought I would be able to).
Now, I know that Colorbar has renamed and relaunched their blushes, but since I am so happy on hitting pan on this one, I am sharing it anyway :D

A few weeks back I had shared with you all the Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Honey. So, continuing my finally found love for chubby lip crayons, up today is the L'Oreal Paris Glam Shine Balmy Gloss in Pomegranate Punch.
Now I have not tried the Clinique Chubby Sticks, but I have tried the Revlon ones (which are more affordable) and now the Balmy Gloss which is one of the most affordable lip crayons in the market.
(pssst, I was getting a more neutral shade, but my friend insisted that I get this instead..since I always buy nude shades more..so I am thanking her for this one :D)

I remember the few occasions when my Mom brought out good ol' henna to colour her hair. I dreaded those days, and when it finally used to arrive, I was left wishing that my olfactory senses became dysfunctional!

The smell of henna is not something I can stand. So with all those fascinating ads on the TV with glam ladies swishing their glossy hair around, saying no ammonia & rich colour, I knew it was time to migrate :) It's not something my Mom is using for the first time, we just never covered it on our blog.

But now we have, and here we go!

This is a post that has been looooooooong due! Papaya has been in my stash since ages now, I had first showcased it in the 3rd edition of Hooked Onto :D when I was honestly obsessed with it. Now, after all this time, Papaya is still one of the most reached out for lip gloss in my kit, the other being Mirrored Mauve by Maybelline.

Coming to the actual review...oh God, where to start..! I love it. I LOVE THIS SHADE. End of story, but for all you lovely readers, I'm duty bound to elaborate a bit more so you can all enjoy this beauty :)

Okay, here we go!

How many times have you sighed and drooled at the sight of Urban Decay's Naked palettes? I know I have, every time a makeup tutorial listed a UD palette, the tiny cosmetics junkie in me would send up a heartfelt wish to own them. And after all this while, I came across near-perfect dupes of it online. Not some cheap company but actually a reputed brand dishing out quality eyeshadow, duping the highly coveted Naked series like a boss! Who was I to resist? Not a chance :D

Ladies, meet Iconic 3, Makeup Revolution's best selling product (so they claim). The sensible packaging, as well as the brand name sealed the deal for me. Eager to know why I love it so much? Read on!

One of the products that was on my list for a long time now was the Revlon Colorburst lipgloss in Aubergine (Smriti is very fond of  the shade Papaya by the way). So imagine my delight when I found it on a discount...I had to get it! And I have been loving it a lot since the day I got my hands on it.

I do not like base makeup....okay scratch that. I did not like doing base makeup before I came across L'Oreal Paris Magic Nude Liquid Powder.
Previously, all I stuck too was neutral eye makeup, some color on the lips and on certain occasions (very very rarely) a BB cream. That's all I could tolerate. So, I never invested in a foundation.
But somehow, when L'Oreal launched this one in India, I couldn't help but get it asap. I do not what made me do that...but it's one of those times where implusive buys just work out! In a few words, this foundation is really one to watch! Read on to know more :)

One of the best things about a holiday is the excuse to invest in a brand new summer wardrobe. However, while most of us have no problem stockpiling sandals, sunglasses, sarongs and swimming costumes for the pool or beach, we often neglect to plan the travel attire that will actually get us there.

Choosing clothes that are both airport-friendly and aeroplane-friendly is important to ensure you start and end your trip on a high. With long queues, cramped seats and security scanners an inevitable part of most people’s travels, it’s worth making the effort to dress appropriately.

Head to toe, here are some top tips to ensure you take-off in style and comfort:
