MAC Mineralize Skinfinsh Natural: Review

A luxurious domed face powder with minerals, slowly baked to provide a dimensional yet natural-matte finish. Provides perfect low coverage. Use to set and fix foundation or as a touch-up throughout the day.


Packaging : Round black compact case with a clear see-through lid. (Update 2021: packaging has changed now). The product is dome-shaped (but mine has become considerable flat..which shows how much I love it!) and the quantity you get is a lot! I do miss a mirror and an applicator though. (but these are the only cons). 

I am around NC 40 (with some fluctuations according to the weather) and the MUA gave me the shade Medium Deep. I think Medium Plus also went well on my skin tone but I ultimately picked this one up.





The powder is very very sheer, so do not expect it to give coverage. You can apply it.. and then dust on some more...and then dust on more and it would still not show up and it does not look cakey.. ever. It simply gives you a "my skin but better" finish which I absolutely love. It holds true to its name and gives the most natural finish I have ever seen from a powder.
It evens out my skin and just makes it look so much better. On good skin days, this alone is enough to give me a nice skin look. It also works well over a tinted moisturizer too.


I have oily skin and mineralized anything usually doesn't work for me since it makes my skin oily too soon. Back home when the temperatures are high, it does make my skin a bit oily after about 3 hours, but nothing I cannot manage. But here in Bangalore (and you know that Bangalore weather is just fabulous) MSF Natural works so well. It does not give a completely matte look, I like the slight dewy fresh look it provides.
If your skin is too oily though, you should test it out once as MSF Natural does not keep oiliness away (especially during summer).

You get 10g in the pan which will easily last you a year even if you use it every day.
I do not use it daily, but I will absolutely repurchase this once it gets over! It never looks chalky or caked up. You cannot ever overdo powder with this one. I love the soft dewy look it provides. It gives a beautiful natural finish and on days where I don’t feel like doing much but still want that healthy look, I’ll use MSF on its own.
There is a reason why MSF Natural is such a raved about product...it is like magic dust (did I just go overboard with the rave? :D :D). I know it sounds too good to be true, but you have to go try it out once and if you look closely, you will understand what I am talking about! :)
