Generally I test a non- skincare product for a week before putting up a review, but this little baby has made me fall so badly in love with it in 3 days, that I just had to share it with you all. The L'Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Colors.. OH MY! Where do I even begin? I have been weraing it continuously since I have got my hands on it, I have been recommending it to my friends crazily.. and I just cannot stop staring at it!
I know we are a little late to review this, but nevertheless, we are finally and since I am so in love with it, this post is pic heavy ;) :)
It is finally time to slip into those flip flops and open sandals and if you have neglected your feet lately, we have just the thing for you! Make your feet summer ready the easy way!
**Warning, for those of you who get squeamish by looking at feet, there are pics in here of my heel. I did warn you!**
After spending about half an hour staring at a blank page in front of me and thinking how to make this sound right (to avoid unwanted people from landing on this page you know) I have come to the conclusion that I will just say stuff as it is. (So if you are a guy reading this.. walk away now).
There is something about the classic Lakme packaging that takes me back to days of my childhood. Back when I could barely reach the counter to see which shades my Mom was swatching, too young to even care about the kaleidoscope world of makeup. She would always end up buying one brown variant or another. (I can't fault her really, Lakme Enrich Satins were filled with so many browns and maroons then!) Even so, every 6 lipsticks or so, one shade would break free from great brown gang, and that's how Raspberry Crush came to sit in my mother's vanity! :)
Before you start I must warn you that this is a photo heavy post. I have tried to capture the product as closely as possible and let me tell you that capturing stuff like this is so so tough! No matter how much you try it just does not show up properly!
If there is one thing that I look for in my bath and bodycare products, it's a nice fresh fragrance. Don't get me wrong, I like soothing ones as well, but honestly, I just have to smell something citrusy and bam! I go weak in the knees :D Leave it to the slight tang of lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, bergamot etc to kick-start your day with a rush of freshness!
This bottle was something I had bought a long time back. I used it for a few days and then it went right behind my cupboard for some reason (I have no idea why). Now that the winters are almost gone, there isn't much need for super thick lotions, I needed something lighter. Generally my go to summer body lotion is Jergens Aloe Relief(it is very good and refreshing!) and I need to buy a new bottle soon. But for now I dug out the Veet Touchably Smooth Hair Minimising Body Moisturiser (Phew! That's long) and I have been using it long enough now to share my views.
So the first thing that happened when I woke up was getting this parcel from Supria of Sushy Loves Blush, sending the Lakme Enrich 129 (you can read her post about the lipstick HERE). Isn't she the sweetest?! Thank you Supria. You made my day!
In case you are wondering that a Lakme lipstick was one of the highlights of my day.. really? Then let me tell you that I was in love with this shade for a long time now, I don't know why I never got it..and then the universe sent me Supria :)
And the 2nd super highlight was voting! I was 17 when I moved from Jamshedpur to Bangalore and thus never got a chance to vote. So this was my first time and I was very excited. The guy at the counter though took his revenge on me. After I said "bhaiya, chota sa lagaiyega" (put a small mark) he went ahead and made sure he covered the entire nail that too in that weird broken pattern :P
You know how in the hot Indian summer, sometimes you just want a break from your regular moisturiser? I'm guilty of skipping moisturising altogether soooo many times! :P I know you should always moisturise, no matter what, but this high humidity just puts me off of applying anything on my face at all!
But I could see the effect it was having on my skin, so out I went, hunting for a god-send product to put an end to my summer woes..
It is a bit irritating when you keep makeup brushes in a jar/holder and they just accumulate over each other in one direction, so here is an quick and easy storage idea (and you do not need to spend much at all). And it will look super pretty on you vanity too!! Lets get started shall we?
While I was spending Holi with my grandparents at Patna, I had to go visit the Patna Market one day of course! The variety of things you get there! After random strolling, I spot a shop stocking makeup items and the beauty blogger in me has no choice but to go inside :D
I didn't pick up much but this Color Show in Coral Craze was on my list forever and I had to get it finally. It is like summer in a bottle! Seriously! While Smriti is currently welcoming the spring summer (it is so hot already.. I am dreading May!) with this super aquatic colour Turquoise Lagoon, Coral Craze is what I am flaunting for over 2 weeks now..I just cannot get enough :D
In my last post, you heard me rave about the Lakme 9-to-5 lip liners and I shared a super gorgeous shade called Brick Rose. Now, these pencils were so good, that I had to pick up 2 and the other shade I got was Beige Pink.
Today, we are sharing one of the most amazing lip liner we have come across - The Lakme 9-to-5 liner in Brick Rose. You probably know that we loved their lipsticks too (you can check out most of the shades swatched here. Toffee Nexus and Coffee Command are a personal favourite). Now we were planning to get more shades, but then they came out with these liners and we had to try them! In one sentence "you have to try these!".
If you know me well by now, you would know that I have quite a soft soft corner of blue and green and aquatic beachy things in general. Not that all colours agree with me, but when they do.. it is love (in case you didn't know this by now..well now you do :D).
Now, winters make us push all our lovely bright shades way back somewhere (although I do break a few rules every now and then) but it's finally summer again and ladies, Maybelline Express Finish inTurquoise Lagoon is my summer must!
During these past winter months, mom made a lot of tomato soup (we had shared the recipe here) and one of the ingredients in it was beetroot. And of course I had to try this out, with all the beet around! Now this is not something new I am sharing here, it has been tried by a lot of women too. It looked fun and so I wanted to try it out as well.
Name one product that been there for ages and is still one of the most bought products? Name one product that most of us have used at one point of time? Name one product that was included in your stash when you started out with makeup? And if Lakme Insta Liner is what fits all of the above for you as well, then give me a high five!
Astrology, Sunsigns...either you believe in them or you don't. Or you can be like me..I do not think much about it but it is entertaining to read it sometimes. Especially when you are living in a hostel and some girl whips out a book and suddenly all you can hear is "Me first! Me first!" It just makes a dull evening so much more fun. Sun Signs by Linda Goodman. If you
are even slightly interested in astrology then the author andthe book name should not be unknown to you.
This one is for all people like me! You know a proper skincare regime involves several steps...you know you should be following one regularly, but...there's always a but! Lack of time, tiredness..or just plain old lazy. You spend an average of 3 minutes maximum in front of the washbasin :D Sounds like you? Well then, The Body Shop Facial Buffer is one cute skincare accessory that you are bound to fall in love with!
