Greetings all you wonderful people!!

I thought I'd share all the bits and goodies I've bought over a span of two weeks. Being in a new city can be such an enthralling experience! Discovering it's culture, it's people, the bargain alleys, the proper markets has kept me occupied these past few weeks, and has made living away from home an enriching time.

But I'm not going to bore you all with further details of med school, so take a peek below! :)

Lakmé 9 to 5 lipsticks - Coffee Command and Toffee Nexus (update : you can check out the review and swatches now and 22 other 9 to 5 shades here)
Maybelline Color Sensational lip gloss - Plum Luster and Mirrored Mauve
Dove Indulgent Nourishment body lotion
Handmade accessories
Nivea Lemon and Oil shower gel
Nivea Happy Time shower cream
Nivea Nourishing Body Milk with Almond Oil
Lakmé Color Crush nail paint - 22 (pale nude mauve) and 43 (bright watermelon red)
Lotus Herbals Color Bloom nail polish - Candy Drop (flesh toned) and Pure Plum (bright pink)
Himalaya Almond and Cucumber peel off mask

So far, I've started using the Lemon and Oil shower gel, the Dove lotion, the Himalaya face mask, and the Maybelline lip glosses. Do stay tuned for their reviews, I will be putting them up shortly!

This post comes on a readers request who also is a good friend of mine. I had to put it up. You see in our 5 years of college most of us got horribly tanned walking around in the sun everyday. So here are some of my tried and tested tips to get rid of the tan! (they helped me a lot back when I made my arms and legs bad from all the swimming and they are helping me now as well). Here is a list of some kitchen ingredients that work wonderfully well for tan removal!

You can also follow us on Instagram where we share more tips and skincare talk :)

You know how awkward body odour can get sometimes? Well, all the time really. Being a perspiration machine is easy in our Indian weather, don't we agree girls? And that's why everybody needs a good deodorant to keep them smelling fresh through the long hours!

Adidas Natural Vitality Deodorant review, Adidas deo review, Adidas women deo review

Which brings me back to the review. I have recently been introduced to Adidas deos by my sister, and now I own three variants- Natural Vitality, Pure Lightness, and Happy Game. I find Adidas has come up with really young and sophisticated fragrances in their range, and that's why I reach for these every morning without fail.

Imagine this, one morning you wake up grumbling to a loud "ting-tong", open the door with a sleepy face and barely open eyes to find a courier delivery guy with a parcel for you! You wonder what it is because you were not expecting anything and neither had you placed an order anywhere. And you open the parcel curiously to find chocolates from a very dear friend! Now that is what a *good morning* is supposed to be like! A big thank you to the awesome friend if you are reading this! :)

Happiness Bars

I know you are thinking why am I posting this up here. Well, this is me informing you about a nice new concept of  Happiness Bars -- India's 1st make your own chocolate website! (a bangalore based service).

Doctors by Erich Segal, Eric Segal Doctors

There are some books which you can read over and over again. For me, Doctors by Erich Segal is one such story. I remember issuing it from the club library when I was in school, and then pestering my father for days to buy it. He never understood why I wanted to buy a book I had already read and I could not explain why I wanted to keep the book with me forever. I did manage to get it finally and Doctors took a prominent place on my bookshelf (it also went to college with me, yes I have read it over and over again.... and my hostel-mates loved reading it too).

Weekend is here finally! And time to do some Do-It-Yourselfs again! This time I have something for your lips :)
Most women want nice full lips and some not so lucky ones like me do not have those super luscious kinds (well one can't have everything right?). But you can do something about it rather than going through extreme measures. And you don't need to spend a lot of money on those lip plumpers available in the market. There is an inexpensive way. Look no further than your kitchen!

Time to share my most loved red nail paint shade! Because it is almost over and I had to tell you all about it before it ran out completely. Maybelline Colorama in Rubi. Do excuse the sad looking bottle of mine.. it is really old and has been used a lot! (as you can see I am sure).

Okay, so I did put up this post 2 days back and this evening I saw that it was gone. Don't ask me how... I do not have the slightest idea. So here I am typing out the whole thing all over again! (I do not remember what I wrote last time exactly but well it is more or less the same thing hopefully) :(

Cherries in the Snow, revlon cherries in the snow, cherries in the snow review, revlon cherries in the snow review, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Cherries in the Snow

Summing up my collection of the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick posts, I am finally putting up the last one : Cherries in the Snow! What a beautiful name and what a beautiful shade! (This post was so long overdue, I have had the lipstick and swatches for months).
In case you want to check out the other two shades I have you can see the review here (Chocolate Velvet) and here (Abstract Orange). And I will not bore you all over again with the details of the Super Lustrous range. We love them and you can know why in the previous posts :)

The Caribbean Collection , The Caribbean Collection Coconut & Lime review, The Caribbean Collection Coconut & Lime

Quite a few months back while I was randomly walking around in the Westside store, I happened to come across these pretty looking bath products range called "The Caribbean Collection". I had not heard of them before and I went to check them out...you would get curious too. And I quite liked the whole collection. The combinations were amazing! Pink Grapefruit & Mandarin, Mango & Passion fruit, Papaya & Strawberry and Coconut & Lime. Don't they just sound yummy?!
There were body lotions, body butters, sugar scrubs, liquid soaps and the traditional soaps of each. I did not pick them up that day but I was so so so tempted. And I resisted the temptation for quite some months (telling myself I did not quite need it essentially...I am giving myself credit here!) but this one day they had a 50% off (I happened to be there... lucky me) and I said "I AM SO GETTING YOU TODAY!"

Lakme color crush no 26, Lakme color crush no 26 review

Today I am sharing with you all one of my favourite nail paints...ever! I have been a fan of the French manicure since ages! Have always loved the way those white tips look - classy, sophisticated and expensive well maintained nails. Don't you think so too? So whenever I had vacations back in school, I would grow my nails super fast and flaunt french tips :) Although back then, it was just a white polish and a clear top coat...
Until, Lakme came out with their Color Crush collection and I happened to come across shade no. 26 French Base. Can you inagine how delighted I was?! *happy happy dance* ( insert the old vodafone zoozoo ad music...hey I like it).

Organic Surge Body Lotion review,Organic Surge Tropical Bergamot Body Lotion review

You might have recognized this body lotion from the haul post I had put up a few weeks back. My very dear friend, A, had gifted me this on my birthday, and now I'm hooked to it! But before I proceed with the review, a short background on Organic Surge-

Organic Surge channels the vibrancy and goodness of nature into our everyday lives. With products as individual as we are, natural formulas and charitable links, Organic Surge is dedicated to making life better wherever we can, starting with you.

I am sure all of us have a favourite nail polish remover. For me it has to be the Lakme one.. been using it since ages! But sometimes you come across a wonderful variation and you wonder "Why have I not used these before?!"
Do you feel it is a trouble carrying your nailpolish remover and cotton balls along with it while travelling? And do you wish for something simpler for removing your nailpolish quickly or correct a mistake real soon? Or do you wish that one cotton ball with remover should clean all those nails without having to soak it with remover again and again? (Those are lots of questions.. hehehe..sorry).
I am guessing that most of you will say a yes to that. So, Orris Nail Polish Remover Pads is your one stop answer to them! I picked this up just of of curiosity on a random trip to Health & Glow. How I wish that I should have picked up more of this!

I love face packs! As a teenager growing up I didn't though and used to find it all "yucky" and "ewww" kinds. And even if I did put them occasionally...never on the neck.. felt so weird that time. But then, I changed my mind over the years and started using them regularly (mainly because I went through a whole pimple and acne phase). At home it was relatively easy... Fresh ingredients right from the kitchen anytime I wanted, and my skin started to behave.

Then came college and hostel life and that luxury was taken away. To make things even better came a fresh bout of acne and lots of pimples.. scarring and more. I had a tough time adjusting to Bangalore's air and water. To think your teenage years are supposed to be your best skin phase... (if only that was true for me *sigh*). So I religiously started with face packs/masks again, only this time most of them were readymade (and a few made at home especially for hostel which I shall share here of course because they are fantastic!).

Khadi Neem Tulsi Face Pack

Coming back, Khadi Neem Tulsi Face Pack. I spotted these little dabbas in the Khadi Graam Udyog back at home around 2 years back. They got me all excited (I never knew Khadi was into beauty products!)
I got 3 of them - an uptan for tan control, a rose orange pack and this one.

Tag posts are so much fun aren't they? I am sure you all must have seen the tag "This or That" flying around and biting everyone and finally it bit me too.. Yaay! I got the tagged by Aditi of Budget Belleza. Thank you Aditi! :)
One thinks it is easy to answer such questions but thats not the case! You are torn between the two choices and must pick one (like between the devil and the deep blue sea). Anyway, here are my answers:

Makeup:
  • Blush or Bronzer- Blush. (I am chubby and I know I should choose contouring but I love some soft colour on my cheecks anyday).
  • Lipgloss or Lipstick- I am more of a lipgloss person :)
  • Eyeliner or Mascara- Okay, this is a tough choice.. I have to choose mascarathough. It opens up the eyes so well! Must have for me.
  • Foundation or Concealer- I do not use either much, but if I have to make a chocie then concealer (My skin is behaving rather well lately so just a few marks to cover up and I am done).
  • Neutral or Colour Eyeshadows- Neutrals!! It can work for everyday wear and special occasions too. Love neutrals!
  • Pressed or Loose Eyeshadows- Pressed shadows. Loose ones get a bit messy.
  • Brushes or Sponges- Brushes. I am not a pro with sponges yet.

Nails:
  • OPI or China Glaze- I haven't used either but would love to try OPI first.
  • Long or Short- Short (Although sometimes I do wear it medium long, but 300 days of the year they are cut short. Blame the profession and the guitar).
  • Acrylic or Natural- Natural. Have never had the need for acrylic ones.. super nail growth powers! :P
  • Brights or Darks- Brights mainly (although during winters I do like darker shades).
  • Flower or No Flower- Flowers only when I am in the nail art phase (I have phases yes).

Body:
  • Perfume or Body Splash- Perfume :) Loving an Avon one currently.
  • Lotion or Body Butter- Lotions. I do not have very dry skin, so lotion works just fine.
  • Body wash or Soap- Body wash definitely. They feel more pampering, more hydrating and smell so amazing.
  • Lush or other Bath Company- Haven't tried lush before (yes I know it is shocking) so I have to say others.

Fashion:
  • Jeans or Sweat Pants- This is such a tough choice and I cannot really pick one! At home you will always find me in sweat pants.. obviously I cannot wear them outside, so Jeans those times.
  • Long sleeves or Short- I quite like long sleeves :)
  • Dresses or skirts- Love skrits! Have not tried many dresses yet.
  • Stripes or Plaids- Stripes (vertical to be precise).
  • Flipflops or Sandals- Sandals. (I do think flip flops destroy the whole look unless you are at a beach or pool party etc) Footwear matters!
  • Scarves or hats- Scarves. (Never tried hats before, more of a cap person).
  • Studs or Dangly earings- Studs!! (this was easy:P)
  • Necklace or Bracelets- Bracelets. (Sadly I get this horrible choking feeling with a necklace always).
  • Heels or Flats- Flats! (I know heels look glamourous, but I rather choose comfort)
  • Cowboy Boots Or Riding Boots -  Never tried either of them.
  • Jacket Or Hoodie - Hoodie! Love my hoodies! :)
  • Forever 21 Or Charlotte Russe - Forever 21
  • Saks 5th Or Nordstrom - I have no idea.. sorry.

Hair:
  • Curly Or Straight - Straight :) (Mine are more or less straight and I like them that way).
  • Bun Or Ponytail - Ponytail. (I can never manage to make a bun stay! My hair just slips! It is frustrating really).
  • Bobby Pins Or Butterfly Clips - Bobby pins! (they are soooo handy!).
  • Hair Spray Or Gel - Hair Spray.
  • Long Or Short - I have to say long. (I did wish I had the courage to cut them really short, but I have been known to cry on certain occasions when it went shorter than my liking .. so I do not risk it anymore :P)
  • Light Or Dark - I have medium brown hair and I am against hair colouring :)
  • Side Sweep Bangs Or Full Bangs - Side swept bangs! (Totally loving them. They made me look so different! :)
  • Up Or Down - Down.

Random:
  • Rain Or Shine - Prefering rains these days. (It gets so cozy...a nice blanket, a good book and a cup of coffee. Bliss)
  • Summer Or Winter - This I cannot exactly choose! But okay, winter maybe. (cozy again...woolens, lots of coffee, misty mornings and I still have lots of ice cream so I like it).
  • Fall Or Spring - I do like both. Do not make me choose please.
  • Chocolate Or Vanilla - Chocolate!! Yum!
  • East Coast Or West Coast - West coast :)

Now it is your turn. I am tagging-

You know we quite love the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks. They have been there since years! And there is something really nice about them. They have so many wonderful shades and they never disappoint you.
Smriti has written everything you need to know about these amazing lipsticks here and so I will not waste your time saying those things all over again.
Instead I will quickly share (as promised) another shade we slowly grew to love. Abstract Orange!
