It's been years since I started my skincare journey but essences were never a part of it. Mostly because my skin was oily earlier, so I did not feel the need for using one and also because I didn't get on board with Korean skincare. Trust me when I say that I kick myself mentally every time for living under a rock for so long! Why, oh why didn't I explore Korean skincare before?
And then in 2019 Smriti made me use the Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream which I fell deeply in love with (more about it on another day), and I delved into the world of K-beauty. While I haven't tried a lot of products yet, there can be no doubt that 2020 was the year I discovered the joy and value of essences. There are two products which are responsible for my fangirl moment - the Cosrx Snail Mucin essence and the I'm From Mugwort Essence.
