I've been using the 𝙋𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙤 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙇𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡 𝙐𝙣𝙨𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙪𝙣 𝙎𝙋𝙁 50+ 𝙋𝘼++++ for the past 4 months & I must say that I understand why so many people like it. I haven't used a cream sunscreen yet that blends in so easily, hydrates well & doesn't leave a white cast. It doesn't even feel like a suncreen!
I had shared a similar post for the summer on our Instagram page so I had to do one for winter of course. I thought of sharing things a bit more in detail here (Instagram has a word limit) So, here are a few of my winter staples. Hope you enjoy reading the post & my picks.
I have been delaying this post for weeks. The pictures were all ready, but I just couldn’t bring myself to write the post. I wasn’t feeling low or anything, just didn’t feel like writing. But it was nice to take a short break. Anyway, let’s get into this quick review! I wanted to give a few more products from Pixi a try after their Glow Tonic and Glow Mud Cleanser (reviewed HERE and HERE) so when I found this little pack of trial sized masks last year, I thought it would be the perfect way to try the products without investing a lot of money. You know me, I love to try a sample size as much as possible before committing to a full size product.
This Multi-Masking Medly comes with the Glow Mud Mask, Rose Flash Balm & T- Zone Peel Off Mask - 15 ml each.
My first product from Pixi Beauty was the Glow Tonic. I had shared my thoughts on it a year ago - full review HERE and I still love it just as much.
The next product that I tried was the Glow Mud Cleanser. I have been using it on and off for a year and here's what I think :

Let me begin by saying that I am not a pro cook. I like to stick to basic recipes which are quick & easy to do. But the foodie in me needs them to taste yummy too. Last week Monday evening, saw me wanting to try out something new in the kitchen, and with the food I had in stock, I decided to try out Shakshuka. It's easy to make plus it’s a one-pan wonder, which always makes me happy.
We (my husband & I) knew it was going to be our new favourtie as soon as our first bite was followed by yummy food noises. (mmmmmmmmm.....)
And since we have made the dish at least 4 times in the last 10 days, I just knew I had to share it with you! You need to give it a go if you haven't already.
The word shakshuka comes from Arabic, meaning, “a mixture” or “all mixed up” and traditionally features poached eggs in a spiced tomato and pepper sauce. But of course there are many variations of the dish. From what I have read up, it's popular in the Middle East, Isreal & North Africa. And you can eat it for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
I have seen a lot of recipes use canned tomatoes and that would be easier, but I like to use fresh tomatoes.

Hello everyone! Last year I had shared a green eyeshadow look for Eid which many of you liked. This year's look is a bit toned down - more wearable but still with a hint of bling.
I have shared all the products used for this look in my video. Watch it HERE.

May the magic of this Eid bring lots of happiness in your life and fill your heart with love. We hope this special day brings peace and prosperity to everyone.
Eid Mubarak!
All these years, an indulgent beauty routine and pamper was limited to the weekend (or off days) for me. I like to keep my weekday beauty routine quite simple, something that usually doesn't take more than 5 mintues.
However, considering that most of us are presently working from home, and there isn't a clear demarcation between the days anymore (I am honestly losing track of the date often & sometimes the day too), I have been able to give more time to my beauty routine than I would have before. So, I thought of sharing the extra bits & bobs I am doing that are making my skin feel great - I am getting odd breakouts every now & then but those are mostly hormonal or an aftermath of food I am stuffing my face with.
Reminder : Try and eat healthy!
Here are some lesser known facts :
- I am not a big on painting my nails. Don't get me wrong. I do enjoy wearing nail polish, but I do it mostly on a day I know I am going out someplace nice or if it's an occasion. And I do enjoy painting my own nails - the process of applying polish is somewhat relaxing for me. But I don't see the need of having a nail paint on every single day.
- I like keeping my nails short. I have a strong dislike towards really long nails - you know those which look like claws/weapons? I can't stand them. So short nails for me. I do like a bit of length every now and then, but I limit it to approximately 2 mm.
- I’ve never been one for getting my nails painted professionally or get gel/acrylic nails. I understand why many people do, the end result is definitely nicer, but I rather make use of my stable hand & do them myself at home. It's more convenient for me. And I rather not have my natural nails disrupted.
I did try gel extentions early last year - BIG MISTAKE! It damaged my natural nails quite a bit. And that's with just one round. I shudder to think what would happen if I did it every few months like so many people do.
Hello! I just wanted to quickly pen down my thoughts about the Mama Earth Argan Hair Mask. Some of you wanted to know more about it after I had shared it on Instagram.
I have been using this for 3 months (it's almost about to get over now) & here's what I think :
I've always stayed clear of cream blushes. When I had oily skin they were a no go for me & powders performed a lot better. But now that my skin is more combination, I wanted to try more cream products. And so, last year I finally gave cream blushes a true go.
My cream blush journey started with the Glossier Cloud Paints (which I got hold of last year thanks to all the hype), and once I had tried them I couldn't help but explore more. Quickly enough, I stumbled upon Nudestix.

I am yet to meet a makeup enthusiast who doesn't like neutral eyeshadows. Sure we all love playing with different colours but a good neutral eyeshadow palette is a must-have in your makeup stash.
Let's take a peek into the NYX Warm Neutrals palette today. I had bought it quite a while back and have been using it consistently. It's probably a bit late to talk about this now, but let's anyway (just in case there are some of you out there who are considering buying it).
I have been loving lip oils ever since I tried the Clarins Lip Oil (reviewed here) back in 2017. I thoroughly enjoyed using the Clarins one and was almost about to repurchase it, when I heard about these new glosses from Kiehl’s (OK technically they’re oils—it’s in the name!). So, I chose to try out this one instead. Here's what I think...
Hi everybody!
I hope this blog post finds you in good health. Never before have we paused and reflected on the simple truth that health really is the greatest wealth we have. As doctors, we've seen our fair share of diseases and are trained in treatment, so when the novel coronavirus pandemic hit, some queries came our way about its remedy.
There's only one thing that will help us tide over this threat and that is social distancing and self isolation. Do it guys! It's free of cost, and will keep you and your loved ones safe.

Hello all! We have been MIA for some time now, I know. We missed all you guys and of course, we missed writing, but it is so good to be back.
Up today is another Brand in Focus. We did one quite a while back (you can check it out HERE) & this time we are talking about a drugstore brand. Take a look!
