MamaEarth Argan Hair Mask
Written by: Swati on:
Hello! I just wanted to quickly pen down my thoughts about the Mama Earth Argan Hair Mask. Some of you wanted to know more about it after I had shared it on Instagram.
I have been using this for 3 months (it's almost about to get over now) & here's what I think :
Mamaearth Argan Hair Mask is specially formulated to treat frizzy and damaged hair while making them stronger. It contains natural ingredients such as Argan Oil that deeply conditions the hair and makes it frizz-free. Rosemary Oil restores the scalp’s moisture and promotes healthy growth. Avocado Oil reduces hair fall by strengthening hair follicles and milk protein repairs hair tissues.
- Mamaearth Argan Hair Mask does
not contain Parabens, Phthalates, SLES, Mineral Oil, and artificial Dyes.
- It is suitable for coloured
& treated hair.
- It is curly hair friendly.
The brand suggests applying the hair mask all over your scalp & hair length & leaving it on for 15-25 minutes.
For reference :
My hair is - relatively straight, slightly dry ends ; Texture - fine ; Volume - limpish ; Density- thick ; Frizz - mild/low (most days)
My scalp is - slightly oily
When I tried using the mask the
recommended way, it made my hair quite flat & limp and my scalp got oily
within a day. I should have seen it coming.
I know a person who has dry frizzy hair
and she keeps the mask in for 20-25 mins and it works quite well for her.
What works for my hair type is using it
as a regular hair conditioner. I use it after washing my hair, only on the
hair length, concentrating more on the ends (and avoid the scalp & hair
roots). I leave it on for around 5 minutes and then wash it off well.
Price : 599 INR for 200 ml ( Available HERE )
The mask makes the hair soft &
smooth. It is easy to manage & untangle the hair post washing. That being
said, any good hair conditioner does the same for me.
I cannot comment on the hair fall reduction claim - I haven't noticed it doing much on that aspect, but then I
don't use it on the scalp, so probably that's the reason.
This does work a lot better for
dry/damaged (heat/ hair colouring) /frizzy hair. If your hair type falls in
this category, you can use this product as a hair mask. I have seen it reduce
frizz to a good extent & also give the hair some shine &
softness.
I might repurchase it at some point again because the quality was good given the price.
The product is free of parabens, silicones, mineral oil & artificial dyes. I am not too particular about these things but if you are then this might be a good product to look into.
xo,
Swatixo,
P.S. I hope you all are doing well. Stay safe & strong.
