Nudestix Nudies Matte Blush : Sunset Strip

I've always stayed clear of cream blushes. When I had oily skin they were a no go for me & powders performed a lot better. But now that my skin is more combination, I wanted to try more cream products. And so, last year I finally gave cream blushes a true go.

My cream blush journey started with the Glossier Cloud Paints (which I got hold of last year thanks to all the hype), and once I had tried them I couldn't help but explore more. Quickly enough, I stumbled upon Nudestix

I loved their easy multitasking approach to makeup. Their cream products are in a stick form designed to smudge in quickly & give a natural finish. Checks all the boxes for me!

Nudestix is a Canadian brand, which is cruelty-free, fragrance- free, gluten-free and vegan. Their products are also formulated without parabens, sulfates & phthalates (in case you are particular about them).

While I like the black tins most Nudestix products come in (they are convenient to carry some makeup while on the move, the lid has a mirror which is also helpful and the tins can also serve as storage tins for your knick knacks), they could build up in number if you choose to get more products from them. I would appreciate if the brand came out with an option of opting out of the tin & just buying the actual product, which might also lower the cost slightly and that will be a bonus, since their products are on the expensive side.

Out of the 7 shades which are available in the Nudies Matte collection I picked up Sunset Strip.

The blush is such an easy product to use. I apply it straight from the stick onto my skin & usually use my fingers to blend it in. You can use a stippling brush too. (I sometimes do)
The blush also comes with a brush on one end, which you can twist & remove to clean. I don't use it, but it's handy to have for touch-ups or while travelling.

I also love using it as a sheer colour on my lips! You can use it on the eyes as well.
I know the name says "matte", but the actual product is not a flat dry matte, there's a bit of sheen to it which gives a natural look. Love!

Pigmentation is great and the blush lasts a long time on me. Despite being pigmented, the formula blends in beautifully, so it's really hard to screw up with it.

On me, Sunset Strip is a bright coral, quite apt for the summer season. It would look great on medium & darker skin tones.

Price : 32$ or 3500 INR for 7g (available here)

It is easily one of the best makeup products I have discovered this year! I couldn't stop wearing it ever since I got it (and would have continued to wear it even more if there wasn't a Covid-19 lockdown). I LOVE this product!
I definitely have my eye on a couple of more shades. All in good time hopefully :)

I'd love to hear if any of you have tried their products. What are your picks from Nudestix?

P.S I also shared my entire cream blush collection on Instagram recently, in case you are interested to see my favourite picks 😊
