Nivea Whitening Smooth Skin Roll On : Review

I do not remember the last time I used a deodorant spray. For about 2 years now, I have shifted to roll ons. I somehow find them more gentle on the delicate underarm area. Plus roll ons are more discreet and travel friendly.

Sure roll on was my absolute favourite for the longest time (full review here), but then I have stopped seeing them in the market now. I believe Rexona has taken it over..correct me if I am wrong. While that wasn't a big deal for me as a consumer, the problem is that if you look at the new Rexona packaging now, you will find Alcohol in the ingredient list - which completely negates the purpose of me buying Sure - It was alcohol free earlier.

Innisfree, The Green Tea Seed Serum : Review

My skincare routine has been failry simple since a long time now. I have been cleansing and toning twice a day and I follow up with Lacto Calamine in the morning as my moisturizer and a facial oil at night.
Since the past couple of months though, I have been wanting to incorporate a serum too. Blame the dry Bangalore weather or the aging process, but lots of days, my skin feels dehyrated or dull in the morning and I know it needs an extra surge of moisture.
I was more inclined to get the Face Shop Chia Seed serum initially, but then that went out of stock the day I decided to get a serum...and since I had already made up my mind that I needed one that very day, I went ahead and ordered the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum (which had a lot of good reviews too).

We at C&D are quite fond of colored eyeliners. Sure, black does look good on us Indian girls all the time, but somedays we just want to add a hint of color!
I never miss a chance to add a different color to my stash (which by now has many!) so when Smriti raved about the LA Girl Gel Liners, I had to give them a try too!

Your Prayers are Answered! New Pantene Oil Replacement is HERE!

For all our readers who’ve been with us from the beginning, I’m happy to share with you that my UG course is coming to an end, just a few months to go before I can call myself a Doc! (Fingers crossed…)

Exam time is always stressful, and little things like caring for myself definitely take a back seat in the light of all the studies, but I try to do my best. And that’s why I love hassle-free products, ones that can get the job done in a jiffy and leave me feeling like a goddess! An over-worked, sleep-deprived, half-starving goddess, but effortlessly glam.

Effortless being the key word here.

May I introduce the new Pantene Oil Replacement to all you beauties? This one’s a keeper!

Must Have Polish Colors : How To Grow Your Stash The Sensible Way!

How many times have you wandered across the beauty aisles and picked up nailpolish colors randomly, just because it looked pretty in the moment? I am guilty of doing this so many times now that I have lost count.
The problem is when you come back home and find out that you have a very similar looking shade already...Now that is annoying!
You don't need a gazillion polishes in life (of course having them wouldn't hurt, but let's be a bit practical).

There was a time when most of my polishes were different variants of nudes and neutrals. It is a category I gravitate towards the most. But then what is the point of have 10 nude shades? Over the past few months, my collection has grown and has more diversity (hence the post)

The Perfect Razor For Travel, Gillette Venus Snap : Review

If you have been following C&D for a while, you would know by now that I have absolutely given up on waxing as a means for hair removal.
For the past couple of years I have just stuck to 2 ways - Epilating and Shaving (the latter being used more frequently due to lack of time and general laziness).

So while I love the standard Gillette Venus razor a lot, and also enjoyed the Venus Breeze (I have spoken about on our Instagram page), when it comes to being on the move, neither of those are quite travel friendly. The Venus Snap was something I had seen many YouTubers talk about, and after a long long period of contemplation I finally went ahead on got it!
Why the long time deciding? Coz this baby is not available in India...yet and I had to pay a ridiculous amount on Amazon for a razor! (I still feel guilty about it!). But it is so worth it.

The Face Shop Triple Eyes, Mocha Nuance : Review & Swatches

When it comes to eyeshadows, I am a neurtals person through and through. Yes, colors do look nice but I love sticking to my brows, beiges, bronzy shades.
Of course one of my most used palettes is the Maybelline Nudes, but I was on the lookout for something even more compact. Then The Face Shop launched their Triple Eyes palettes on Nykaa and I ordered it in a blink! Take a look :)

3 L.A. Girl Glide Gel Liners, Champagne, Dark Brown, Gypsy Teal : Review

I always expected college life to be a phase where you can experiment, clothing..looks.. personality, everything.. and then I arrived at an institution which demands a formal and conservative approach to all of the above.

Most days, it's easy to adhere to; I understand the requirements of the profession, but on some days when my inner rebel decides to raise an eyebrow, I pull out my stash of coloured eye pencils!

Oh eye pencils, how I love theeeeeeeee... I adore my EyeStudio ones by Maybelline and these babies are the newest addition to my collection!

Handy Tips for A Hassle Free Wedding!

It's that time of the year when weddings are all around in the air, so we thought why not do a post keeping weddings in mind?  When it comes to a wedding, what is that one thing that almost turns into a nightmare if not done correctly? Yes, you guessed it right! Planning! Don't underestimate its power. It turns the sanest of brides into bridezilla

So, here are a few tips which will ensure that your wedding goes on smoothly with no last minute mess ups.

Get a wedding planner/journal - I know we live in the age of technology and our mobiles and tabs are smarter than us, but having your plans and details on the good old pen and paper is the best. Always. Create sections in the journal for venue, guest lists, caterer, functions, makeup artist, photographer, boutiques etc. You can also save cut outs of anything that inspires you which you want to incorporate in your wedding.

Guest list - Choose the ones you want to share your special day with. Do not forget to send out save the date invites well in advance so that people can keep the day free for you. Also, RSVPs is a good idea to implement.

Book in advance - Do not wait till the last few months to hire your caterer, venue, photographer and videographer as well as your makeup artist. They'll be booked by the time you approach. So start well ahead in time. You do not need to discuss specifics very early, but just make sure you have their slots when you need them.

You can take help of online wedding planning sites like Wedmegood to search for your vendors online. For ex: You can find a list of wedding banquets in Delhi, Mumbai and any other city you are getting married in. Similarly, you can find wedding photographers, makeup artists, mehendi artists and more in your city. You can check their availability, pricing, reviews and work to make a decision. And, also you can contact them directly to negotiate for prices. Cool, isn’t it?

Break in the new shoes - So you've got the perfect heels to go with your dress....what's will be the point if you won't be able to walk in them comfortably or they give you nasty shoe bites on your wedding day? Don't store the shoes in a box and wear them for the first time in your wedding day. Wear them around your house a few times before and break them in.

Emergency kit - Pack a small kit with band aids, safety pins, bobby pins, tampons, double tape, breath mints, painkiller and headache tablets, tissue and wet wipes. Give it to one of your bridesmaids so that it is available at any required time on the main day. Trust me, you will need it!

Discuss - now that all your team was booked well in advance, it would be a good time to discuss things through with them a couple of months before the D day. Try out the makeup look and hair do, give your specifications and expectations to the photographer and videographer etc.  Should have a clear idea about your expectations and what exactly are you looking for to prevent any future disappointments.

Honeymoon - find out the weather situation and current climate of the place you are heading to so that you can pack accordingly and efficiently.

Delegate - while most brides will have an OCD to get the inns done themselves, it would be a good idea to delegate small tasks to close family and friends. It will reduce a lot of your stress and will make sure things get done too.

Unwind - a few days before the wedding, when the stress levels will be at an all time high, it would a great to book yourself a spa day. Get the good old body massage, a manicure and pedicure and a hair spa....just relax and let your mind go calm.

Do not try anything new - when it comes to skincare and makeup, do not try any new products no matter how good the reviews are and even they promise to make you glow brighter than the sun! You never know what would react or break you stick to your trusted regime and profits which have served you well. This also includes staying away from any new facials at the salon.

These were some small tips to help you have a calmer smoother wedding. Hope they help! If you have some more tips, please share them with us below :)
