Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil. It's finally here!

While the lip oil trend has been around for a couple of years, it has only recently (and finally!) hit the Indian market with Clarins releasing their much-loved-and-raved about Lip Oils a few weeks ago.
Amen! I was lusting after these for a long time time and cannot describe how excited I was to get my hands on one. So as a Valentine's Day gift to me (it is a tradition I have been following for a few years now), I treated myself to the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Raspberry :) :) :)
Funny story first : At the counter, it took a while to decide which variant I wanted to pick (due to the lack of testers at that time). I plonked myself on a chair, kept the 3 variants - Honey, Raspberry and Red Berry in front and perused at them for a good 20-25 minutes, before finally zeroing in on Raspberry :D
I have joined the oils bandwagon around last year I think. We at C&D love facial oils, if you have been following us regularly you'll know that already. So an oil for lips made complete sense and yes I was bound to love it. (I knew I would, before I tried it on. Does this gut instinct come to you sometimes?)
The oils have some color in the bottle, though they are hardly tinted. I have read that the Red Berry variant offers a slight tint, but Honey and Raspberry go on pretty clear.
The most adorable feature of these lip oils is the sponge applicator. It feels so plush & cushion like and coats the product onto the lip really well. The cap screws on securely and I haven't had any mishaps with leaking at all.
Raspberry smells delicious (and tastes good too, in case you were wondering). The texture of these lip oils is comparable to honey. It isn't runny, nor too thick & gloopy. Think of it as a hybrid between a lip gloss and oil, or an non-sticky lip gloss - infused with lovely oils to condition and hydrate your lips.
These won't feel thin on the lips, just letting you know beforehand.
It does feel DIVINE on the lips though!!
The plant formula used is 100% natural and the lip oil is rich in essential oils like jojoba, mirabelle and hazelnut.
- The jojoba oil nourishes and adds a hydrating silky shine to the lips
- Mirabelle oil helps prevents dehydration
- Hazelnut oil helps plump, nourish and soften the lips instantly.
The raspberry shade also contains raspberry oil to help prevent premature aging.
Clarins is a brand I have learnt to trust and this time is no exception. I agree with all the claims this product comes with. I will even go as far as saying that it is amrit for your pout!

The Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils can essentially be used as a rejuvenating lip treatment if no lip balm helps you that much. The gloss-oil formula is comfortable to wear. They are not heavy, non sticky and impart a lovely shine to the lips as an added bonus. I can vouch for its soothing and hydrating magic on my otherwise parched, lips and the effect lasts for a decent 2.5-3 hours. It is one of the most nourishing lip products I have used until now. Nothing compares to it so definitely give it a try if you can :)
