Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel, Powder Puff : Review & Swatches

Written by: Swati on:

Revlon recently launched the Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel in India (why sooo late Revlon?!), and if you give one good look at these cute bottles, you would be very tempted to grab them all! :D
I picked up just one for now (let's see how long I will be able to keep temptation away). Let me swatch Powder Puff for you today :)

The square perfume like gloss bottle with the round ball cap is such a cute thing to look at (I swear I bought this one mainly beacuse of the bottle!). The round cap isn't very easy to hold and work with, but it is managable.
The brush is on the thinner side as you can see below. It might be a con for some beacuse it takes more time for application, but I found it decent to work with and you might have less smudging and spilling.
You can smell the frangrance once the polish dries

Color : Powder Puff is a light baby pink with micro iridescent glitter. Such a pretty colour! The glitter is a mix of silver and blue which go so well with the pink base and gives a nice dimension to the color. (I had such a tough time catching the blue glitter on camera...I hope you can make them out in the photos). It is a lovely colour for work (which is the 2nd reason why I chose this) and on days when you want a natural look but with something extra. I think it would look great as a top coat too or maybe even a jelly sandwich?

Texture & Staying Power : This one, unlike the other shades in the range, is not a cream formula. Since the polish it quite sheer, it takes 2-3 coats for opacity. Application is smooth even with the glitter and it dries quickly. On my nails it stays for around 2 days with a single coat and will last longer with 2-3 coats.

Fragrance :The polish did not smell like baby powder, to me atleast. There is a powdery note in there, but it also smells a bit floral and clean. I really like the fragrance. It is strong on the first day and fades gradually thereafter. I could smell the fragrance for 2 days easily.

Should you get it?
I'd say that if you are looking out for a baby pink polish then this is surely worth a try. It is a good shade to have in your collection, as the glitter makes it quite pretty and the shade does not look flat. It is pretty & girly.
If you aren't a fan of baby pink, then they have some other good colors in the range and I am sure you would find one you like. The fragrances are nice, the bottles are cute and these polishes are worth a try.
I am very very tempted to pick out a few more shades and line them up like pawns....now if only I can stop myself long enough :D
