Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Concealer : Review
Written by: Swati on:
Continuting with concealers (you should probably read about the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch one too), I have the Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Concealer up for you all today.
So, is it my favourite one? Read on!
What the brand says about the product :
- clever and unrecognizable coverage of every blemish, including uneven skin and under-eye dark circles
- superior blendability and weightless finish
- comes in three shades: Fair, Medium, Honey
The concealer is packed in a see through plastic tube, which is very sleek and small. It is very easy to carry around and is spill proof. The applicator is a doe foot one. I really like the simple sleek packaging of this one.
This one is a liquid concealer, not too thick not too runny. The applicator picks up a good amount of product. It spreads well and is blends really easily. Just a few dabs with your fingertips or some brush swirls and you are done. It feels lightweight, making it ideal for everyday use. Coverage is medium and it does not settle into fine lines. The formula is not drying (unlike the Maybelline one) nor too heavy. It stays for around 6-7 hours on me.
The concealer is excellent for use under the eyes and okayish with blemishes. Skip this one if you are looking for full coverage concealers for special occasions or to hide severe dark circles.
Now I don't use concealer everyday, but when I reach out for this one a lot. I use the shade Honey 05, which I believe is the darkest shade in the range (I am around NC 40 in MAC, medium complexion). The shade collection is a problem and darker skin tones will not be able to find a match in this one.
I wish Lakme had come out with more shade variants! Also, the price is a bit of an ouchie!
Overall, if you keep the 2 cons aside (price and color selection), this concealer is a great one, even for everyday wear, if you want something that does not look heavy, is super easy to use/blend and gives a natural coverage.
Have you tried this one? Which are your favorite concealers? Any recommendations?
Psst...I will reveal my HG concealer soon! Stay tuned!!
