Klairs Fundamental Ampule Mist

Does your skin feel dehydrated no matter what you do? If so, I think I have the perfect product that you can consider adding to your routine. So let's take a minute & dive deeper into the Klairs Fundamental Amuple Mist.

This mist felt like a good fit for me since I always like to begin my skincare routine with a light spritz of something. Usually, it is rose water or the Avene Thermal Spray, but I am always up to trying something new, especially if it's from a brand & range I already love (Read my thoughts on other products from the Fundamental Line here).

I've been on my skincare journey for a long time now and I don't think I have come across any mist that feels quite like this one. It's watery but has a slip to it, absorbs quickly, feels moisturizing on the skin but isn't sticky. The texture & feel of the Ampule mist is unique....in fact, it doesn't even feel like a mist to me once I put it on....more like a hydrating essence. (maybe the YBP Hydrating Mist which Smriti reviewed here comes close? Although that has more slip and predominantly gives hydration not moisture).

The formula not only deeply hydrates but also locks down the hydration minimizing transepidermal water loss (TEWL) which face misting can commonly exacerbate. This feature makes the Amuple mist extremely suited for people with dehydrated skin. I have a short video here showing the consistency

Probably one of the most defining aspects of the Klairs Ampule Mist is the nozzle itself. It dispenses a fine, wide & even cloud of mist making the product a delight to use. (I am certainly not throwing this bottle after emptying it!)

My Skin Type : Combination - Sensitive - Slightly Dehydrated - Acne Prone

How & When I use the Klairs Fundamental Amuple Mist?
  • straight out of the shower when I can't get down to my skincare routine immediately, a quick spray of it makes my skin feel comfortable
  • for prepping skin before makeup - A couple of layers of the mist + the Watery Oil Drop = hello plump glowing skin!
  • misting throughout the day especially during the colder winter months when my skin can feel dry & dehydrated often

Who will it work well for?
All skin types except very oily skin. But will be particularly good for - Dehydrated skin & Sensitive skin.
- Combination skin will like it especially in winter.
- Normal & Dry skin can use it all year round.
- If your city has a dry &/or cold climate this will work for you.

I really enjoy using the Klairs Fundamental Amuple Mist. The fine mister, the deep hydration & touch of moisture the formula provides while being light makes this product stand out from most other face mists I have tried before. It is a versatile product that can be used in several ways or can be accommodated at different steps depending on your routine.

I see myself repurchasing it sometime in the future but not immediately. Not because it's not good, it's actually fabulous! I do love & recommend it. But since the price is a little steep & my combination skin would not need all year round, I'll get it just before winter hits next year.

xoxo,
Swati
