The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet : Review

How the mercury is steadily climbing, and the famed hot balmy Indian summer is sneaking up on us as March sets in? It's that time of the year where we all scramble for cooling, refreshing products as if our lives depend on them.

Ah well.. for us beauty-skin care maniacs, it probably does! :P

But I've got myself sorted for the season... Curious? Check out this baby below, packed with the goodness of mint and lime! I could search and search but never will a product be as perfect for summer as The Body Shop's Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet!


Right from the colours to the ingredients,TBS has got it right at every step! The pastel lemon soft tube is adorned with a fizzy sprig of mint and wedge of lime, and has a sturdy flip top cap of white plastic. The cap shuts quite tightly and is totally leak proof.

Dispensing the product is super easy + hygienic, but there have been a few times I taken out more than I intended, so it's not made for over-enthusiastic squishing :P


I must describe the fragrance before I move onto anything else because that was the main reason I picked it up. It's a slightly tangy, uplifting minty scent which is refreshes my senses in a whiff. The lime adds the right amount of punch to it making the combination very clean, summery, as well as unisex.


The texture of this product is amazingly unique. It is a smooth gel and definitely looks like a frosty sorbet! Apart from all this, it is extremely light and therefore does not leave the skin greasy at all. It melts right into my skin leaving it well hydrated. There's also a pleasant cooling sensation post application and that's why I love applying this on balmy days ^_^ It contains Aloe as a key ingredient for added nourishment.

The moisturisation is adequate for the day if you are blessed with normal skin. If you're on the drier side, I highly recommend getting the Body Butter which, keeping the heat in mind, has been made lighter than most other butters offered by TBS.


Well..what more can I say? The Virgin Mojito has made me look forward to the moment I can apply it after a nice cooling shower! I feel I can safely say that I've found my summer love, have you? :)
