I finally gave in to temptation a few months back and got the L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil as a treat to myself. Heads up - It is amazing!
The first time I sniffed it my brain could only say - Oh Boy! Where have I been all these years!
FYI - I am not a huge fan of almond smelling products, but this to me is joy in a bottle!
I consider this to be my luxury shower time treat (considering the price!). I do not use it every day, but on my days off or when I am in the mood for a nice bit of a pampering session, I pull this baby out.
The highlight of course for me is the fragrance - an ever so slight nutty smell. Not sweet, not floral, not fruity, not woody - it is extremely well balanced and has a luxurious elegant smell. You need to sniff it once to know. I really cannot explain it.
The fact that it is SLS free is an added advantage. It is also available in a 500ml eco-refill pouch which is really nice.
It lathers well & leaves the skin feeling clean and supple. There is no dry stretchy feeling. Just well-nourished skin. I can usually skip putting lotion post the shower oil (unless it is peak winter and extremely dry weather).
If you have normal-oily skin, you really wouldn't feel the need for putting a lotion.

The L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil is truly indulgent, luxuriously scented & hydrating and has definitely become a shower must have for me. I won't use it every day yes, but it will always be in the bathroom cupboard!
