HUDA BEAUTY Rose Gold Remastered Eyeshadow Palette
Written by: Swati on:
Yes! I finally gave in to the temptation and got my very own Rose Gold Palette! Aaaa!!!
I resisted for almost a year but there's something about this beauty, I don't know what exactly...the shimmers, the colours... the hype...So well, yeah! Here I am, a good amount short on the pocket, but all smiles nevertheless. Just look at it! Ah! It's what dreams are made of!
I already use and love the Smokey Obsessions palette (review here), so I knew that the formula of the shadows will be amazing here too.
This is a reformulation of the original Rose Gold Palette - better formulations and textures (can be used with a brush as well), a few variations in the shades and a mirror included. I do not own the original one, so cannot make comparisons, but there are plenty of posts out there comparing the two.
The look of the packaging is gorgeous (I just cannot seem to get rid of the outer box!). The big mirror is super handy. I just wish that the box wasn't made of cardboard. I mean for the price, something more solid and luxe looking would have been amazing.
The palette is a mix of 18 shades - There is so much choice here!
Melted Metal/Foil (8) -
Dubai - dusty bronze with a tinge of khaki (and some gold shimmer)
Fling - warm cranberry copper
Trust Fund - bronzy copper
Rose Gold - rosy gold duo chrome (has pink shimmer particles)
Pink Diamond - mauve toned pink
24K - yellow gold
Blessed - bronzy gold
Bubbly - very very subtle cool toned gold
Mattes (8) -
Risque - berry mauve
Doll Face - cool toned bright pink
Demure - peachy nude (doesn't show up very well on my skin, but good to even out the lid).
Suede - greyish brown taupe
Coco - chocolate brown (with red undertones)
Maneater - cool toned red
Henna - reddish brown
Sandalwood - earthy tan
Wet/Dry Jetblack (1)
Black Truffle - jet black
Highlighting pressed pearl (1)
Moondust -champagne-y gold
The formula is spectacular!
*Foils are pigmented & super super buttery! You can use a brush if you want to but I would suggest using your fingers with these for maximum impact. You just need a tiny amount for an application! You can wear these alone, layer them or mix and match if you have the skills & time. I like wearing these shades alone all over the lid most of the time (coz then it's like a 30 second eyeshadow look!).
* Mattes are smooth, pigmented & easy to work with almost no fallout. They blend super well and can be layered for intense color. There is no talc in the shadows so they are quite velvety in texture.
Price : 5375 INR (available HERE)
Although the price is crazzzzyy high, the shadows are absolutely divine. The formula is beautiful, the shades are gorgeous and you can create multiple looks with just 1 palette.

Pass it - If you aren't too fond of shimmery shades though or do not like using your fingers to apply shadows.
But if you can spare the cost & are on the lookout for 1 amazing palette, then Rose Gold Remastered is worth looking at.
P.S - I am going on an eyeshadow ban for a while now!
