Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit
Written by: Swati on:
When it comes to base makeup, I strongly gravitate towards Bobbi Brown. Their philosophy of Skin which looks like skin is something I believe in too. Plus they have a great shade range to cater to most skin tones particularly yellow undertones which is quite common in Indian women.
So, when I wanted a good hassle-free concealer I had to head over to Bobbi Brown without a second thought.
The Creamy Concealer Kit was my very first base product purchase from the brand (the number has now grown over the past few months :D)
I was torn between their Instant full cover concealer & this one and after much contemplation, I went ahead with the kit. (pssst... I got the other one a couple of months later..hehe).
They also sell the Creamy Concealers individually (without the powder).
The concealer itself is a thick cream & quite pigmented. It is stiff enough to stay in place but creamy enough to be blended well.
It does take a while to get used to it & figure out how it works. It might feel a bit too thick at first, but give it a chance.
I must admit that while I quite liked it when the MUA applied it on me at the store, when I got back home and tried it, it didn't work quite as well initially...hmph!

But the more you use it, the more you grow to like it. Also, once you start rubbing the product, with use, it concealer becomes a bit softer and easier to work with.
Being rich and creamy, it will work extremely well for people with dry under-eye areas & for mature skin. For an oily undereye, the Instant full cover concealer might work better.
The yellow-toned powder does a good job of setting the concealer. You only need a light dusting to do the job. Set correctly, the concealer lasts super long!
Though it isn't my favourite under-eye setting powder, it is handy when in a rush.
I got it in the shade Warm Natural (not a highlighting concealer shade for me) & I use my fingers to dab the concealer in place. I find that fingers work the best and melt the product into the skin flawlessly.
Warm Natural works quite well by itself on me, on no foundation days aka pretty much every day. I do not need a corrector under it.
Left - without ; Right - with concealer & powder
I hope you can see the difference it makes. I love how natural it looks!!
On the downside, the powder & concealer pans are quite close & I can see the concealer pan getting dirty with use.
The concealer does crease after 5 hours if not set with a powder. So always set it.
Also, keep in mind that the kits have a yellow-toned powder (The porcelain shade has a white powder). If you use a white/translucent powder to set your concealer, then this might not work for you.

I quite love this concealer! It is slightly on the expensive side, but the quality is great and everyone will find a shade match for sure.
