NYX Matte Lipstick, Whipped Caviar : Review

We have quite a few NYX products covered on the blog at this point - their butter glosses, butter lipstick, brow gel, eyeshadow palettes HERE & HERE, mascara, eyeliner, soft matte lip creams HERE, HERE & HERE, blush, concealer are all swatched and reviewed. Up today is one of their Matte Lipsticks in Whipped Caviar which has become one of my absolute favourites. Take a look :)

Texture wise, their matte lipsticks go on really smooth. No tugging whatsoever. They feel smooth and creamy, you know some matte lipsticks tend to feel very dry when you are putting them on. No such problem with these. These are quite comfortable to wear, I hardly experienced any dryness and the colour lasts a good 6-7 hours (with snacking). Of course, the lighter colours would fade away sooner. Pigmentation is brilliant. One swipe gives a complete opaque finish.

Whipped Caviar is a light pink shade and will suit light-medium skin tones well.  It has a cool undertone. I think that it might look a little washed out on deeper skin, but you can make it work by layering it with a deeper coloured lip liner underneath.

For the price, these are great matte lipsticks to add to your collection. The formula is great, there is a good variety of colours to choose from.
