NYX Matte Lipstick, Alabama : Review, Swatch & LOTD

So we have covered the NYX Butter lipstick and the Butter Gloss here so far. Today we have the NYX Mat Rouge a Levres in Alabama swatched for you and my word, is this a lovely color! I knew I would like it, even before I put it on!
The tube is a black matte plastic one, it doesn't feel quite sturdy which is probably the only downside about these lipsticks.
Texture wise, these lispticks go on really smooth. No tugging whatsoever. They feel smooth and creamy, you know some matte lipsticks tend to feel very dry when you are putting them on. No such problem with these. These are quite comfortable to wear, I hardly experienced any dryness and the color lasts a good 6-7 hours (with snacking). Of course, the lighter colors would fade away sooner. Pigmentation is brilliant. One swipe gives complete opaque finish.
Alabama is a deep (brick?) red. It is one of those rich darker reds that would flatter most skintones. A simple winged liner, lots of mascara and Alabama on yoru lips and you are ready to rock the floor! It would be a beautiful color to wear in the colder autumn-winter months as well. And it makes the teeth look whiter...bonus! ;)

For the price, these are great matte lipsticks to add to your collection. The formula is great, there is a good variety of colors to choose from and well, if you love deep reds, then Alabama is one to watch out for!
