Freedom Bronzed Professional : Review & Swatch

Written by: Swati on:

Yes, I am quite late to finally hop into the bronzer/contour group. The reasons being :

1. Could I  use it without ending up looking like a clown?
2. The Indian market has a serious dearth of good matte bronzers. Shimmer in a contour powder? Hell no!

I couldn't find a good one for a very long time and then I came across this beauty from Freedom Makeup (on Nykaa if I remember).

The bronzer comes in a plastic pan with a clear lid. The lid it dome shaped, I would have preferred if it was flat (makes the packaging sleeker) and if it had a mirror . The packaging is sleek and simple and feels decently sturdy (don't drop it though, it will shatter). The prouduct has "Freedom Pro" embossed on it. It nice. (I would have liked a pretty pattern, but that's not very relevant).  It smells faintly of milk chocolate to me...does anyone think the same?

The pan is pretty huge (refer pic below).

The bronzer is completely matte, which is why I love it! It can be used for contouring too. Yaay!
The texture is smooth and light. It isn't chalky. The pigmentation is light-medium, you cannot go overboard with it easily. You can build it up. There is fallout when you swirl your brush
The powder blends well on the skin.

Unfortunately, it comes in only 1 shade. The color would suit fair-medium skintones. It wouldn't show up on darker tones. Like I said earlier, I mainly use it for contouring (below the jawline, sides of the nose, hollows of cheeks). I am still getting the hang of it, so I just do a light application.

Price : 750 INR for 15g (available for around 600 on Jabong and Nykaa)

The Freedom Bronzed Professional is a good addition to your kit. Especially if you are a beginner and still exprimenting with contouring. It is affordable and the quality & quantity you get is great for the price. The best part is that it is completely matte and gives a subtle defined look. Recommended!
