Kama Ayurveda Lavanya Natural Plant Mask : Review

My love for Kama Ayurveda products is well know to you all by now, I am sure. Show me good natural organic skincare products and I am game. I love going back to natural homemade masks and skincare products.
Although, being away from home comes with its cons. I do not have access to a kitchen stocked up on ingredients beneficial for the skin. My search for effective natural organic face masks is thus always on. This is how I came across the Kama Ayurveda Lavanya Natural Plant Mask. I had not used any of their face masks before, but I have always loved their Mridul Soap free cleanser (highly recommend that one).
"As prescribed in Ayurveda this product is meant to nourish, deep cleanse and purify skin. It leaves the skin glowing and refreshed. It is also prescribed in Ayurveda as a treatment for acne and blemishes. A blend of herbs traditionally used for skin care. In Ayurveda, sweet flag and liquorices keep skin young and have anti-microbial properties. Lodhra, a blood purifier, cleanses the micronutrient channels of the skin. It also contains coriander, a skin cleanser".

The mask comes in their standard cute tin tub, with a small wooden spatula. The mask is a fine powder, comes sealed in a plastic (I have emptied it into the tub itself). I use this along with the Kama Ayurveda Rosewater to make a thick paste. It dries in 10-15 minutes, though I like to keep it on for around 30 minutes (as said in the instructions).
Most masks meant for deep cleansing are clay based. The Lavanya mask is plant based (which makes the application a little tricky as it doesn not go on smoothly). There is mild tingling immediately after application, but nothing too bothersome. I am not too fond of the herbal frangrance.
I rinse it off in circular motions with cold water (the granules do a good job of mild exfoliation). It doesn't dry out the skin and does a good job of cleansing & refreshing (you need to keep it for 30 minutes). Consequently, it does help in controlling breakpouts to an extent.

It is a good mask for oily acne prone skin. It helps in deep cleansing and does not dry out the skin. Moreover, the product is 100% natural, not tested on animals and free from preservatives, fragrances, colourants and petrochemicals. If you are on the lookout for natural organic masks, this is a good one to try.
