Maybelline Color Tattoo Bold Gold : Review
Written by: Swati on:
I am sure you know how much we love the Maybelline Color Tattoos and as mentioned in an earlier post I had picked up three shades for Smriti.
Smriti reviewed Pomogranate Punk here which is a lovely wine burgundy colour and I am telling you about BOLD GOLD today! (I know, this post was loooong overdue, sorry).
Bold Gold is a shimmery medium metallic gold, perfect for festivals and parties, although we also use it with a very light hand for just a hint of bling somedays.
Since this shade is on the metallic side rather than shimmer, it does not feel as smooth comapred to the others. A bit gritty but not the uncomfortable kinds. It will not give you full opaque colour in one go, but the pigmentation is buildable.
The packaging is the same as all the Color Tattoos - A heavy glass pot with a screw on cap.
These do come with a flat eyeshadow brush, but we find that using a finger works best.
(Now, each pot comes with a brush, so do not let the SA fool you into anything otherwise! When I was buying them, the SA was insistent on just giving me just 2 with the three pots I bought!)
As is the case with all Color Tattoos, these are not meant to be applied in a blig blobbly bulk. They will go cakey if used that way. Builiding up in thin gradual layers is what works best. And they stay for 8 to 10 hours without a primer. No budging, fading, creasing or smudging!
The only downside is that these won't look good on matured ageing eyelids because they will accenuate the dryness and the lines. Apart from that, they are really great!
Check out Pomegranate Punk here and Bad to the Bronze here :)
Price: 350/- for 4gm
Have you given any of these a try? Which are your favourite shades?
