Tangle Teezer Compact Styler : Is it worth it?

A while back I found them online at a good discount, and before I knew it, it was added to the cart and ordered :D
The size of the brush is good and fits in the hand quite well. It is also a decent size to be carried around if you use a bigger bag. It is a lot bulkier than a regular comb.
It comes with a click on cover which protects the bristles and makes the compact styler better to be carried around than the original Tangle Teezer.

There are alternate short and long bristles all over the brush, which flex as your move it through the hair. It feels quite stimulating when brushed on the scalp. Since the bristles flex as you move the brush, they cause less breakage and damage to the hair.
I find it effective to use on damp hair after wash, it does a good job of untangling all the knots without tugging and pulling the hair. Where it falls short for me though is the length of the bristles. While I have fine hair, it's also dense and the bristles aren't long enough to reach my scalp effortlessly. I need to press down with a firm hand, a little more pressure than I normally use, so that the sort bristles can reach my scalp completely. So while it detangles knots well, it's not great for actual brushing for my hair. Not a deal breaker, but I if the bristles reached my scalp effortlessly & passed through all my hair easily it would have been so much better.
Update 2021 : I bought their new Scalp Exfoliator & Massager Brush - Reviewed HERE and like it a LOT more than the traditional tangle teezer.
While I liked the brush, it isn't a must-have for me. I enjoy using it but I can achieve pretty much the same results with a wide-tooth comb, so it's not a necessity for me. It might be more effective for thicker, frizzy, coarser hair since that tends to get knotted very easily. It can be used on both dry and wet hair. They have different variants for different purposes.
