Tangle Teezer Scalp Exfoliator & Massager

I didn't think there would be a day when I would be gushing about a scalp brush. But that day has come! Having & using a scalp brush is not essential, but it is such a handy tool to have nevertheless. It can help promote blood circulation & stimulate the scalp, it can help break down product buildup and it feels incredibly relaxing!
And I didn't think it would be so good until I used one. Read on!
I had been wanting to try a scalp brush & my eyes were set on the one by Briogeo, but that's not available in India & in the meantime Tangle Teezer launched their Scalp Exfoliator & Massager, so I gave it a go instead!
The brush has two kinds of teeth - thin flexible ones on the main body which are meant to clear product buildup & detox the scalp + short stubby ones on either end meant for pressure points & to massage the scalp. The brush can be used on its own or while washing the hair.
I like the unique design of the brush. At first, I was doubtful on how stable it would be, but the wings slip on your fingers and the brush stays put nicely. It is easy to use.
I've used it about 5-6 times in the shower while shampooing & it works. Apart from feeling nice on the scalp, I also notice that it helps in exfoliating my oily scalp better, especially in this heat & humidity, when it gets extra sweaty. Since I have long hair, I avoid going in circular motions as that can lead to tangles. I like going front to back in long strokes and it feels so good...like every point on the scalp is getting stimulated. It's invigorating & relaxing at the same time.
Meanwhile, my husband borrows it often for a relaxing massage at the end of the day. It is easier to use it dry & do circular motions on his short hair. Trust me when I say that his eyes start to close within a minute of using the brush :D It just helps in unwinding after a long day and sets him up for a good sleep.
The only downside I see, for now, is that some of the thin silicone bristles especially the ones on the edge have become ever so slightly bent (maybe I use more pressure than necessary because it feels so good)
Price : 950 INR Available HERE
Is a scalp brush necessary? No, I don't think it is. Does it feel good though? Oh Yeah! I think it will be especially helpful for people who have long nails because it gets difficult to scrub the scalp with fingers then.
Have you used a scalp brush before? If yes, then how has your experience been?
