L'Oreal Serie Expert Gold Quinoa + Protein Absolut Repair Masque

Written by: Swati on:

I am not very particular when it comes to hair care. While I do have some absolute favourites which I repurchase time & again, I also like trying out new haircare products - shampoos, conditioners & hair masks, & for the past few months I have been using L'Oreal Serie Expert Absolute Repair Masque - Gold Quinoa + Protein. Let's dive into how my experience has been :)

Say goodbye to dull and damaged hair with this reconstruction masque. Its nourishing formula makes hair manageable and softens them from root to tip, giving it an extra bounce. This deep conditioning masque restores lipids which are depleted due to pollution, too much heat exposure and external aggressors.

  • Makes hair frizz-free and manageable.
  • Restores damaged hair.
  • Renders Protection from harsh elements.

IngredientsAqua / Water / Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, Mica, Behentrimonium Chloride, Amodimethicone, Ci 77891 / Titanium Dioxide, Phenoxyethanol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Ci 77491 / Iron Oxides, Propylene Glycol, Peg-150/Decyl Alcohol/Smdi Copolymer, Linalool, Trideceth-6, Hexyl Cinnamal, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Limonene, Citric Acid, Cetrimonium Chloride, Chenopodium Quinoa Seed Extract, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Parfum / Fragrance.

The tub looks good indeed, but a squeezy tube would have been a lot more convenient as the texture of the product isn't too thick.

The rich cream consistency feels and smells quite luxurious. However, it doesn't feel too heavy when I apply it. 1 heaped/full scoop is usually enough for my
medium-long length hair.

This is basically meant to be used as a conditioner post hair wash. I leave it on my hair length for 2-3 minutes (the product says you can leave it on for 5, but I don't really have the patience) & rinse it. I use this conditioner once a week as my hair is usually well behaved and does not need it after every wash.

Do keep in mind that it is not meant to be used on the scalp, & take some time to wash it off well.

It leaves my hair feeling smooth & tangle free - It has silicone. It imparts shine to my lengths and also keeps the frizz in check. It doesn't feel too heavy or weigh my hair down (I do not use a lot of it to begin with). It did not aggravate any problems or cause hair fall for me.

* For reference - I have relatively straight, low frizz hair which has never been coloured or subjected to any chemical treatments. I do heat style my hair on and off.

Price: 820 INR for 250g ( available here )

In my opinion this is a good hair conditioner, which will work for a lot of hair types - depending on the quantity you use, it will work for dry, dull, slightly damaged or frizzy hair & also on virgin hair which isn't too damaged. However, this is not for you if you use silicone free products.

If you are on the hunt for a mid-range silicone free hair mask you could check out the Mama Earth Argan Hair Mask - reviewed HERE.
