While 2020 was the year of essence for me, 2021 looks like it's going to be all about moisturizers. I have been continuously drawn to them these past couple of months & surprisingly or not so surprisingly, they are all korean ones. What can I say? They make good moisturizers!
I've been testing out The Face Shop Chia Seed Hydro Crème, which I was kindly gifted by the brand, for 2 weeks now in my morning routine. Read on to know my experience :)

- It's a gel-cream, light & soft in texture, which spreads well and sinks into the skin easily with a few light strokes. Once applied, it doesn't feel heavy or greasy.
- There's a floral fragrance which I find pleasant, but I wish it had been a little milder. The good news is that it doesn't linger long. Do keep this in mind if your skin is sensitive to fragrance. ⠀
- The tub is quite sturdy and cute albiet bulky. I prefer sleeker packaging which would have made it more convenient to travel with. The cream comes with a small plastic spatula which makes taking out the product hygienic & convenient.
- It layers well with other products and under makeup. It gives a boost of moisture to the skin making it look & feel plump - a hallmark of well hydrated skin. I like to apply it on slightly damp skin which helps lock in the hydration better.
- In my opinion it will work well for normal-combination skin all year round & dry skin in the summer.
