NYX Vivid Brights, Vivid Envy : Review, Swatch

Because why should we stick to only black eyeliners?

I cannot help but incorporate some fun bright colours into makeup when summer and monsoons are around, Blues, greens, bright purples they are so perfect to be sported this time of the year, don't you think so?

This season, I surprisingly found myself using coloured liners (usually I stick to coloured pencils on my lower lash line, if you were wondering)
While I will talk about the other one in a few days, the NYX Vivid Brights in Vivid Envy is what we will be discussing today.

When I got this one, I honestly never thought I would even wear it but it is a completely different story these days. Funny how tastes and preferences change over time!

I quite like the slim sleek packaging of this one and the colour coded tube makes it convenient to spot the tube in your stash. The applicator is a long one with a small thin brush at the end. If you are used to applying liquid liners, it wouldn't bother you. If you aren't used to....well, go get used to it soon! Practice!

The product is decently pigmented and the colour shows up well even on my medium skin tone. The formula is a bit on the watery side, and I would have preferred it to be a bit thicker. I need 2 layers for the colour to be completely opaque
The liner dries to a complete matte finish, which makes it more wearable. I have not faced any smudging, cracking or peeling with it so far.

Now, if you are thinking how to carry coloured liners like these with panache, there is a trick which makes them more wearable. All it takes is a thick coloured wing, then a little black wing closer to the lash line underneath it. Easy-peasy!
They have a Violet one which I want to try out next!

Do you like wearing coloured liners? Which are your favourite ones?
