Sleek Makeup Oh So Special Eyeshadow Palette : Review, Swatches

Written by: Swati on:

When it comes to eyeshadows, I find palettes the best bet. They have many colors in one place and are great to take along when you are going somewhere. There are a lot of variants of the Sleek iDivine palettes and I picked up the Oh So Special palette. We have reviewed some makeup palettes before like this Lovely Day one by Accessorize and this super gorgeous Iconic 3 by Makeup Revolution, but this one was always on my wishlist... I feel super happy whenever I look at it :D

Like the brand name, its products always have a super sleek look to them and the iDivine palettes are no exception. The mirror is huge. The palette comes with a sponge eyeshadow applicator, which I do not use (I am not too fond of these types of applicators).

Sleek Oh So Special eye shadow palette has a mix of 12 shades (5 shimmey and 7 matte)- pink, brown, beige, greys and plums. The good mix of colors makes it very versatile in creating multiple looks from everyday neutrals to a more jazzed look for outings etc. to super fun looks for girly brunches.
It has a both matte and frost finish eye shadows.

All the shades are quite soft, the pearl/shimmery shades being super smooth, buttery and super pigmented. The mattes do not show up as well as the shimmer ones, and may not show well on deeper skintones
These shadows have minimal fallout (except perhaps Celebrate which has some fallout) and last a decent amount of time with some minor fading.

Bow - A matte cream off white, it makes for a good brow highlight.

Organza - A gold-pink duochorome with a metallic finish. This goes on so smoothly. Very unique and gorgeous shade.

Pamper - A matte peachy white pink color, it looks a little chalky. I am not too fond of this one.

Gateau - A gold-violet duochorome. Another gorgoeus shade in the palette. Love it.

Ribbon - A matte coral pink. It is nicely pigmented and a pretty color to have around.

Gift Basket - A shimmery bronzy brown shade. Well pigmented and smooth. Works well as an all over wash and goes nicely with ethnic clothes too.

The Mail - A matte yellow brown (almost merges with my skin color). Great to blend out other colors and as a transition color.

Boxed - A matte chocolate brown. Good for a neutral eye, mudging out kajals with, sometimes for blending. Love it.
