The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Refreshingly Purifying Cleansing Hair Scrub

Before TBS came out with the Fuji Green Tea Hair Scrub, I had no idea that there was a world of hair scrubs. I had never used any, read about any nor used any. The closest thing to a hair scrub I used was the Nioxin Hair Treatment I had experienced a few years back which used a liquid to exfoliate the scalp - read about it HERE

So when this hair scrub was launched I was very excited to try it out. My scalp tends to get oily quickly and I also experience occasional itching, so I thought that this would work well fo me

Okay, first things first - the tub packaging is inconvenient. I do not prefer dipping in wet fingers in the tub mid shower and I do not have access to a spatula in the shower all the time. I would have preferred a squeeze tube.

The product is basically big salt granules in a thick gel-cream base. Since the texture is quite thick & the particles are big it is very difficult to spread the stuff on the scalp especially for anyone who has long hair. Trust me I have been using it for a while and it isn't easy.

It creates a lot a of lather, I was very surprised at how much this foams up. It cleans the scalp well, the menthol in it feels refreshing especially after a long day of work or in the summertime, the fragrance is very nice (I like the fragrance of the Green Tea range by TBS).

However, trying to spread it and trying to scrub with such big particles creates a lot of unnecessary frizz for me later on. I also find that it dries out my scalp and hair at the base a lot more than I prefer. This scrub is also very messy to use in the shower, the granules fall everywhere.

I did not enjoy nor looked forward to using this scrub. I thought it would work well, but the cons are many and I do not have the patience to spread the product (maybe there's a hack? who knows), I do not like the post scrub effect nor do I want to spend 10 minutes post showering trying to clean the bathroom floor.

Price : 1845 INR for 240ml

It's just not worth the price and work you need to put in, in my opinion. I am struggling to finish this tub (it is a big tub)... maybe I'll turn it into a body scrub - just because I asked the money doesn't mean that I need waste product. So yeah, body scrub it is!
Definitely would not recommend you to get this one. Save the money or research more for better options.
