The Balm Jour Creamy Lip Stain : Ciao, Hello & Salut

Written by: Swati on:

Is it a lip gloss? Is it a lipstick? Is it a lipstain?!

That's what your mind goes like when you first apply theBalm Jour Creamy Lip Stains. It really does blow your mind away! When I first got my hands on this (I got only 1 shade) it completely changed my idea of what a lip gloss should be like.

Before I knew it, I added 2 more colours to my stash. I mean, you don't come across a product every day that is a lip gloss, but the colour stays on & on, do you?

Let's talk more about this wonderful product!

Lip stains to up your gloss game for a perfect mix of stain and shine! With a uniquely flexible formula, theBalmJour starts as a gloss, finishes as a stain, and delivers the high-pigment payoff of a lipstick. And since these creamy, moisturizing lip stains have serious staying power, you'll never have to say, "adieu".

The product has a super creamy formula, opaque pigmentation in one swipe & goes on smoothly without any tugging. The formula is non-sticky & feels super moisturising on the lips.
They have a slight minty smell & tingles ever so slightly when freshly applied.
There are 8 shades in the collection - pinks, fuschia, nudes & reds.

Initially, it looks like a super pigmented gloss. (I'd say that the glossy shine lasts for a couple of hours - without any food)
Over time, the gloss fades leaving behind a beautiful even stain on the lips
The lighter nude colours will not leave a very visible stain, but the darker shades will.

The stain is nice & even. It's not patchy, or darker on the edges & lighter in the centre. It honestly wears off beautifully & leaves an even stain which lasts for another 4-5 hours, even with food & drink.
