Dot & Key Skincare New Hydration Range : Hyaluronic Acid Infused Range - Serum, Sleeping Mask, Eye Mask & Eye Cream Review
Written by: Smriti on:
Hi everybody! Today I've got a fantastic post for you to peruse! Dot & Key is a brand that we had discovered quite some time back. A month ago, the brand kindly sent us a few of their new products to try out. I had shared the same on our Instagram Page.
After more than 3 weeks of testing their Hydration Range out, here's my detailed review of them all. Read on to discover more!
This new hydration range by Dot & Key features Hyaluronic Acid as its star ingredient so that your skin can dive into a pool of refreshing moisture and emerge plump and dewy.
Water Drench Hydrating Hyaluronic Serum Concentrate ( available HERE )
This comes packaged in a light and a travel-friendly plastic bottle with a dropper and contains 30 ml. The texture of this serum is nice - a frosty semi-liquid which becomes pretty much water-like on application.
I liked the light rose scent of this serum, it's unobtrusive and uplifting! However, there is a possibility that there is added fragrance so please keep that in mind if your skin is sensitive or if you are particular about it.
Skin Plumping Moisture Infusion Water Sleeping Mask ( available HERE )
Meant to be an overnight therapy, this light baby blue gel is enriched with Hyaluronic acid, Chamomile and Bulgarian rose. This smells really wonderful too.
* Please keep in mind that the product might have added fragrance (I can't be sure as the full ingredient list is not disclosed).
But the soothing floral scent makes me want to keep sniffing the jar. The brand promises to reset your skin with this mask, reversing dullness and leaving the skin plump and hydrated.
I use a little scoop of it in my night routine, it melts into a water-like cocoon over the skin and is instantly absorbed. In the morning, my skin feels refreshed.
Is this the best sleeping mask I have used? No.
Is it working fine though ? Yes, I feel it will be suited more to someone who has a very oily skin and I would prefer to use it in the hot Indian summer weather.
Puffiness + Shadow Minimizing Eye Sleeping Mask ( available HERE )
With pure Caffeine, Hyaluronic acid and Chamomile, this gel-like eye mask is water-based and acts like an intensely hydrating treatment. Left overnight, this may even plump out fine lines as hyaluronic acid is known to do that, but I cannot comment personally on that as I do not have fine lines yet. This too has that gel to water-like consistency that sinks into the skin easily.
The coffee cherry extract might help to reduce dark circles and puffiness to an extent. I also appreciate that this eye mask is anti-oxidant rich.
Antioxidant Illuminating Depuffing Eye Cream Concentrate ( available HERE )
This eye cream is targeted for twice-daily use and can be best described as a light gel-cream. A blend of argan, jojoba, rosehip and olive oils with depuffing pure caffeine, peony root extract (soothing, brightening, anti-oxidant), botanical actives and hydrating hyaluronic acid perks up the under-eye area, and the eyes appear well-rested.
This can be used under makeup, and also layers well with the eye mask for night routines. With regular use, it also claims to eliminate signs of early ageing but again I cannot comment on that personally being in my mid-twenties. I do notice maintenance in overall skin health and the texture of this eye cream is a delight to use. This one has a more obviously floral scent, but it dissipates quick enough and is not bothersome.

The brand claims that their products are 100% safe and dermatologically tested, cruelty-free, and made in India. The full ingredient list is however not available on the packaging (only key ingredients are listed), and the amount of hyaluronic acid in each product could have been mentioned too for the consumer's ease. I wish they would start disclosing the complete list of ingredients for all their products.
Left - bare skin ; Right - serum and sleeping mask layered (notice how the skin appears plumped and with diminished fine lines) |
Overall, even though I tried the Hyaluronic Acid serum late (it was launched alongside the other 2 serums - Vit C and the Skin Clarifying ones, find detailed reviews HERE), I'm glad I got to try them.
The best thing I liked about the entire range was the texture of the products - it dissolves into nothing, but hydrates the skin well. This range will shine during the hot humid Indian summers for oily skin. Even with my dry skin it works decently but in these colder months, I like to layer an oil on top to seal everything in.
