Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector

If you have been following me for a while now, you would probably know that I have a soft spot for Clarins. I haven't tried a lot of their prodcuts, but the few I have work really well. I recently did a Get Ready With Me on IGTV using all Clarins products (in case you want to see them in action...coz, well, they are fab!).

I have already spoken about their Lotus Face Treatment Oil HERE & Instant Light Lip Comfot Oil HERE.
Up today is their Natural Lip Perfector in shade number 13 (Pink Grapefruit).

"A softly textured lip gel with a deliciously sweet scent. Lips are left looking soft, smooth, shiny and plump. Sheer, but has enough colour to wear alone or to complement your favourite lip shade."

When it comes to glosses, you either love them or hate them. I belong to the former group...but..but...it needs to be the perfect formula. I (like probably everyone else) just cannot tolerate thick sticky glosses. And when you take the perfect gloss & give me some nourishing properties in it (my lips tend to be quite dry all around the year) then I am sold.

The Lip Perfector is exactly that. A gloss without any gloop & a nourishing formula. I have been using it for just uncer a year now and I wish I had found it sooner.

Packaging

I absolutely adore it. The sleek tube is perfect if you want to carry it around (handbag or pocket) & it is leak-proof. It is also quite easy to spot it in the depths of your handbag.

The fuzzy tip does not dispese excess product & applies the product evenly
The fragrance is mild - a sweet vanilla + toffee scent.

Consistency

Texture wise it isn't too thin nor to thick. Perfectly balanced in middle. It does not feel heavy/sticky. Also, the lip perfector sticks around for a while and will survive a light meal or some snacking. However, it does not give you that over the top glossy effect. Can I say that this is more of a grown-up sophisticated lip gloss?

Nourishment

Now, it is a lip gloss, not a lip balm so do not get confused. It does nourish the lips decently, but it is not going to heal/repair them like a heavy duty balm. It just helps keeps your lips in a moisturized state. So if your lips are in a good condition this will aid in keeping them so. And even if your lips are on the drier side, it will still be better to use a product like this over a matte lipstick.

Pigmentation

Lightly pigmented. You can certainly make out a slight wash of color, but this will not cover any lip discolourations/pigmentation. But the sheer color makes it perfect to apply on the go & extremely quick to throw on mirror-less if required.

The Clarins lip perfectors probably make it to my list of favourite lip products/glosses ever (Pssst...I'll share a few more on the list soon)I adore it and just might add one more in a pink hue 😉

Swati
