Cosrx Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule Review

Needless to say, my love for K-beauty has been going strong. Let me begin by declaring that this hasn't been an easy thing at all, considering my low-buy/no-buy journey! So many exciting products to try, so little time, and only a single face 😩

I had been reading up so much on the benefits of propolis, partly because Smriti was on the hunt for healing agents, and partly because Korean skincare is big on this ingredient and it was getting difficult to resist the temptation to try it out for myself.

And after having tried and loved Mugwort, Centella, Snail mucin, I wanted to explore the other staples K-beauty had to offer, so I decided to buy the CosRx Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule for myself.

The ampoule comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with a dropper dispenser. The cap is shaped such, that the bottle looks like a honey jar which I find quite cute. The actual product even looks like honey with its light golden hue.

Texture-wise, the ampoule is a medium weight, slightly viscous liquid. Once applied, it doesn't feel heavy per se but it does take a minute to sink in. There's a some tackiness to it, but my skin looks and feels instantly plumped and glowing. Once I layer a moisturizer on top, I can't feel the tackiness anymore. All in all, a really nice formulation with minimal ingredients and potent action.

I do want to mention here that this ampoule is intensely hydrating and nourishing. The first time I tried it was during the monsoons, and with all the humidity, it didn't sit well on my combination skin then & almost regretted buying it. However I didn't want to to give up on it just yet... I stowed the ampoule away for the colder season and gave it a go once again when November hit. This time it performed so much better for me, showing once again that weather plays an important role in skincare too.... it has been a regular in my skincare routine for the past month, and I've been really enjoying it.

Two drops is all I need in my morning routine, after mist or toner. I like to be extra, so I add an essence too most days. It layers perfectly over other products bringing much needed hydration during the winter.

Since it packs a ton of nourishment & helps to retain moisture in the skin, I'm not surprised to see my skin looking soft and dewy, very much glass-like, whenever I apply the CosRx Propolis Light Ampoule. I might not repurchase it immediately since I won't be able to use this when summer hits, but it will make it back to my routine for winters.

Who is it for?
I think a wide spectrum of skin types will enjoy this ampoule : Combination skin in the winters - all the way upto dry skin which can use it all year round. If you have sensitive skin this would also be a good pick since the formula has only 11 ingredients, which reduces the probability of irritation.
- Cosrx has an Ultra Light variant which I think will be more suited for oily skin. I haven't tried that yet, but I am considering picking it up in the summer time.
*don't forget to patch test if you haven't used propolis before.

Price : 1950 INR for 30ml (used to be 20 ml initially & I like that we get more now)

All in all this is a fine product. It's adds hydration & moisture and more importantly, retains it well especially in the cold dry winter days. And it doesn't break me out. It also gives me that beautiful propolis glow which I'm all here for!

  1. Hi how would you compare it's hydration to the cosrx snail mucin one

    1. The snail mucin essence is purely hydrating, at least for me. And needs something to layer on top to seal everything. While this is a good balance of hydration and moisture, it also retains both.
