L'Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss, Pomegranate Punch (909) : Review

A few weeks back I had shared with you all the Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Honey. So, continuing my finally found love for chubby lip crayons, up today is the L'Oreal Paris Glam Shine Balmy Gloss in Pomegranate Punch.
Now I have not tried the Clinique Chubby Sticks, but I have tried the Revlon ones (which are more affordable) and now the Balmy Gloss which is one of the most affordable lip crayons in the market.
(pssst, I was getting a more neutral shade, but my friend insisted that I get this instead..since I always buy nude shades more..so I am thanking her for this one :D)
The packaging is very similar to the Revlon balm stains, with this having only a silver cap instead of a coloured one. The product is retractable, though make sure to close the cap carefully in the initial few days while the tip is still out (hurry causes nicks and you wouldn't want that, would you?!)
As you can see in the swatches, the balmy gloss is described perfectly in its name. It is smooth in texture and glides on uniformly and well. It feels lightweight when applied, non-sticky and gives a balmy glossy look (which I really like since it's not too glossy).
The formula is moderately moisturising (you don't need to exfoliate or load up on lip balm before this) and does not settle into fine lines.
Since Pomegranate Punch is the darkest shade in the collection, it is quite pigmented. You can use it lightly for a soft tint or go opaque with 2 swipes (which will even out pigmented lips well too).
The other 3 shades are a lot lighter than this, so they will not be able to cover pigmentation well.
Pomegranate Punch is deep berry pink with some red tones and fine pink shimmer (which you can hopefully see in the first swatch above). The shimmer is very fine and hardly shows up on the lips. It stays on for around 2-3 hours on me and leaves a light stain behind. Though sometimes, the shimmer gets a bit visible as the color wears off (does this happen with just me or has anyone else faced this too?). The colour would suit all skin tones. I can definitely see myself wearing this a lot more now with the colder months coming.

Do I recommend it?
If you like highly tinted glossy balm like lip products (and of course, lip crayons) then definitely give Pomegranate Punch a try. It has a lovely texture, lovely color and is priced well.
I do wish they lasted a bit longer, though this shade does leave a slight light tint behind. I love carrying this around too...hardly need to wear much makeup with this on:) Highly recommended!
I am very tempted to get Peach Pleasure too!! :D
